Some folks on Reddit are not able to register on the forums

A user on reddit was trying to join the forums and hasn't been able to.

He said that when he tries to submit registration it give him a vague error message "an error occurred".

I have not been actively monitoring new members for awhile.  I have cleared out all existing requests as there were hundreds of spam bots and it was too difficult to sift through them all.  If someone signs up and you are aware they are a real person, let me know.  I will try to vet new arrivals as best I can.
