Any advice on how to balance this deck? So far I have just been making decks with the generic advice of 4-5 this card, 3 or 4 of this type of card, and so on. Very general basic construction.

Any tips? Appreciate it.

First question, did you know that the deck is over the deck sum rule? And more importantly, we do you care? Ghost rider and witch blade have a lot of good cards but the rest characters have shitty cards...what other characters do you own?

breadmaster

my advice is to treat every card as opd, with a few exceptions

trust me, I KNOW it's a tough pill to swallow, but 4-5 of any card is too much (MAYBE 4 of a top tier card that multiple characters can use, ie, power cards or aspects

other exceptions for multiples are specials that can defend the entire team, super powerful attacks, and of course power cards

once your deck is leaner, you'll get to your round winning cards that much quicker (OPDs and events)

Tussin

i could make a template deck of this if you wanted? just to see how it could work

Sure, a template would be nice! I don't have time at the moment to type down all my cards but I will later. As for the sum rule, I hadn't given it any thought. The only person I play this game with is my brother and we usually just make decks from my cards. So far we just play "vanilla" rules with no ante or missions. I don't own any locations yet.

Waiting for a few cards to sell online before I purchase some new cards (all my cards are from the first few sets in around 1995). I would say I have around 1200-1500ish cards.

I don't think I missed anyone, but here is my list of characters which I currently own (I plan to buy Witchblade soon):

i use http://overpower.ca/ to help see what specials each character has, start Silver Sable in reserve

so this team seems to have some draw power and some nice heavy hits, with some innate staying power and defense and the ability to kill their reserve character.

Zer0evil

Makes sense, her hero card says she can play cards from reserve.

Tussin

well the 4 stat version of Sable can, but that would overcap the team, i need to use the 3 stat Sable to make this team work, but she still has good utility from reserve even without that innate/passive 4-stat ability

chuu

Good work tussin but I think he's missing a lot of the cards on your list.

Zer0evil

It's okay, it gives me a plan to work from and I am going to be buying new card singles anyways.
"Excelsior!" - that one old dude who shows up in all the Marvel movies.

Tussin

and in the meantime, you can use placeholder cards for the marvel set specials

Zer0evil

Thanks by the way Tussin, realized I hadn't actually typed it out yet! Appreciate the effort.

Zer0evil

What is up with Rescue Mission? Neither Orange King nor Mark's Overpowercards have it on their price guides.

It's from the marvels set that was never officially printed. So you have to print it out yourself or get your hands on a marvels set, which are hard to come by nowadays.

Zer0evil

Thanks, I was beginning to wonder about that! Hopefully someone still has the computer files and the set will turn up online for download someday.
