Anyone one on frontline can play any power card.  This temporarily suspends grids.  Does that include unusable a?  For example fantastic, my only 8 is KO'd can invisible woman play it during that event?

Yup. All power cards may be played by anyone. So the 8 would not be considered unusable, and could be played by anyone.

you could probably place them but they would be considered dead cards in the next round and there'd be no way of getting rid of it except for marvel manhattan.
