Ways to defeat DoW

Hey guys,

I'm just wondering what the various ways to defeat Devourer of Worlds are?


1. Hit it with 4 activators

2. Play a KL special

3. What about EBs? Can DoW be moved to that and blocked?

4. No OPD / Any Hero events

5. Remove it from opponents' decks with a GL

6. Any others that I'm missing?

It sounds like you have found all of the ways.
The EB special will not work.

Still fairly straight forward to build around.

May I ask why the EB wouldn't work?

Is it because DoW isn't considered an attack against your "team"?

I suppose its more because DoW cant be stopped in anyway when it is being played. After it is in play is when u have the opportunity to remove it.

Why can't the card be stopped when it's being played? It only says it can't be negated. Shifting it to an EB is certainly not negating it.

Hey Fractales. Still a good question. The simple answer is that DoW doesnt target any character or battlesite specifically to allow it to be shifted.

For example, the same would go for Hulk's special Savage. You wouldnt be able to shift it to an EB because it doesnt target anyone.

Ah, you're totally right. That makes sense

The same applies to Colossus' OP. Must be negated.
