Title: Psychic shield vs spontaneous combustion
Post by: AO user on October 24, 2015, 09:24:59 PM
From a game in Buffalo today:  Beyonder had an 8 E PCard & psychic shield placed.  I wanted to blow up the 8 to win venture.  Q: since the witch has opponent discard the 8 should go away.  But its a special so psychic shield should/could block it.  which way would this play out at a tourney?   BTW is was a fun afternoon. You say Psychic Shield is placed.  Therefore it can not affect the play, as it is not supposed to be played defensively.  If it had been played on Beyonder, Spontaneous Combustion could not be played on him.
but then again, I could be wrong.  they call me justa....

Psychic Shield can be played defensively. Unfortunately Spontaneous Combustion attacks the opponent and no specific Character, so the AH card could not be played in defense.
