This came up in our game today. I wanted to play a multi-power 1 card thinking it can't be blocked because of this event in play but I was told that multi power cards are NOT power cards. They are their own category but not "pure" power cards.  I know double shots require specific type but they are NOT PCs?

Multipower Power Cards. I don't know why it was an issue except maybe your opponent wanted to cheat.
