I received an Overpower Legion facebook Marvels set. It looks great! Best part was its free! My favorite OP card of all time is now Invisible Woman - conceal! :o

The card stock is fine. The gloss is a little heavy compared to real OP cards but it doesnt bring the card down. I do like that the font size matches up with real OP cards (my eyes can use all the help they can get lol). The different symbols on the card template to match the characters is cool. Also came with an OP deck box which was a nice surprise. My brother didnt like the card back but I loved it. The picture on the card back, at least to me, kinda pays homage to the real marvel OP card backs. Got to keep in mind tho that you could have sent me 4yr old drawn pics on a card stock from a 70s twinkie box bottom and I would have loved it! Anything OP is great! But seriously these cards are very well done. :o

Yes...I bought 4 sets! 1 set each for my 2 brothers & 2 for me. We all love them! My brother wishes he had bought 2 sets...he's a 3 dup special kinda guy (makes him seem retarded describing him like that lol). :o

I actually got a set from this fella. Look him up on facebook. Overpower Legion, I think. Someone suggested I look him up from this board, though I can't remember who it was. The set was free. I like the Toronto set much better (the card stock was much closer to the real deal and the pics on most of the cards were better choices) but there were a few nice surprises (I too couldn't put that Invisible Woman card down at first... I don't know if I've ever imagined a woman that hot before ::) ) and the backing was a nice touch. For a free set, I thought it was really cool, but there was only 1 of each card... including non OPD's!!! So you're stuck with one Guardian Devil, one Rescue Mission, one of anything you want 2 or more of. The guy was very nice, and I offered to make a donation to cover costs, but he said it wasn't necessary for now. Again, they were neat, but the Toronto sets were way better, and more complete for playing.

The Beyonder was really cool, since I don't have one.
Ya know, with so many good cards in the Marvels set, I wonder what rarity the cards would've been.
Don't forget the many cards, nearly 200 that were meant to be reprinted.
Ah I forgot about those... I guess they would've filled alot of common slots. Wow, the set was HUGE!
A note about the cards in OverPower: The Marvels (the official name of the set)..
The reprinted specials, 54 of them, would only be included in Starter Decks. If I were to classify Common, Uncommon, Rare, Very Rare ratings for the set, I would give any card that only came in the Starter Deck a C. In addition to the Specials from the above, their respective Character cards, most Power cards (guessing the Any-Powers and 5 Multi are not included), most Universe cards (minus the 6AP Teamwork but including the Xavier Protocols), the "generic" Location card and Missions.
VR is obviously going to be Galactus, Beyonder, AP Teamwork, Avenger's ID, reprinted Any Characters, the remaining Power cards, the Hideout Discovered event. Basically, cards that were extremely hard to find and/or promotional will keep their rarity.
So it leaves the chunk of cards to put into Uncommon and Rare. I would probably glob the remaining non-OPD into U, with a handful picked out to be placed into R. Likewise for the remaining OPD, I'd probably put them all into R with a handful placed into VR.
I would imagine that Angel/Wasp would become the Blue Beetle (JLA) of the set.

I received my 2nd set a week ago! So did my brother! Free of charge!!! These cards are great and I put one of each in my master binders along with the Toronto set. I cant wait for his next set to come out! :o
Yeah, I received a second set in the mail, and didn't even ask for it! Nice guy!!!
