I
just purchased this so I don't have the item in question on hand. But with the picture provided in the auction, I'm starting to question the rarity of my find.

I now own the coveted pre-release edition of Clobberin' Time, so my collection of those strategy guides is complete. However, the card in the bottom right corner intrigues me a bit. The auction says it's a "Fighting 6 Prototype" card, so obviously my first thought would be:
However, all of the Level 6 Prototypes I own have the Spider-Man/Wolverine backing. This one is "
power cardz" backed.
Could there be two versions of the card? Confirmed that the
power cardz card is a different game.
Interestingly enough, I found this by going through JohnL's posts just now:Quote from: http://www.beenhereandthere.com/SMF/general-discussion/overpower-history-power-players-to-op/msg1191/#msg1191(http://www.lifesci.ucsb.edu/~latto/x6power.jpg)
But reading further into the thread shows that the prototype cards used the Spider-Man/Wolverine backing without copyrights.I'll know for sure in the coming weeks but I wanted to make a post in case Steve, Theo or John were stopping by the forums to provide some insight.Looks like it could just be the 6F Wolverine.
sidenote: i actually had a sealed inquest gamer 52, didn't know you needed it. ( http://overpower.ca/wiki/User:Jack#Items_I_am_missing )
im really thinking it will be the 6f with a different back, maybe the phrase "power cardz" is an unrelated promotion.
I overlooked that magazine so it didn't show up on my radar if it came up on eBay.
And, unfortunately, this (http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/16187/power-cardz-collectable-card-game) exists and rules out any possibility of a different backing.
Is there any way to tell a legion 6f from the mag version now?
It should be the exact same card and likely no visual difference.
I would like to confirm that Ventura #1 is in fact the magazine that contains the Level 6 Fighting Power card Promo and the Clobberin' Time pre-release guide.
weird, so many sources say issue 2.
All of the information came from GDMJR and his checklist, everyone assumes they are correct. I set out to prove him right or wrong, which is why I started collecting all of them sealed.
I won't be able to correct all of the sources, but the very best I could do is modify the main Wikipedia article and our Wiki and checklists. Our site/wiki should be the authoritative source for everything OverPower.
anymore things you can confirm from my big post?
also can you get me a pic of that mag's cover?

a bit much for just the 1 you need.
I already have it in transit. I'm also working out a deal with the seller on just #23.
It was previously available for $16 but I refused to buy it since the card inside is a piece of crap useless Batcave Promo.
I can't see from the picture is the DC overpower card still inside #23? thanks! - vlame1988
This item is now in our warehouse, But I will check tomorrow and get back with you. Thanks.- ryder24

The seller completely ignored me...
You asked just to buy 23? Does your profile show that you are in Canada?
Where else would I be? The seller ships internationally so there shouldn't be a problem.
oh, i thought he ignored you bc you are in canada. nevermind.
It doesn't matter, I should be getting mine by the end of February because my current seller doesn't ship to Canada so I have to use my shipping proxy. I'm still 3 short but I'm about 98% positive that those magazines have the expected cards.

Sneak preview of what's inside of Clobberin' Time pre-release. It's quite different from the proper release.
(I didn't open the sealed copy, I bought a second one to get the Clobberin' Time mag.)
That's a cool pic. Also the combo 23 baggie advertises a DC overpower card.

Obtained at last.
