this is just to guage the interest level of people willing to purchase a set
i'm guessing it will be around 200 cards. the marvels set was just over 20 dollars, but there were less cards, and alot more (100?) sets printed, so i'm guessing this one will be more costly. the more on board, the cheaper it will be to print, but i'm thinking we'll be lucky to get into double digits!
I'm definitely in for at least one set.
I'd prefer it that we don't start fielding interest on a set that's barely passed conception.
barely passed conception?
what's wrong with guaging interest? are we looking at 5 sets/10 sets/20 sets...50 sets!?! (keep dreaming breadmaster ;))
We sold more than 100 sets for The Marvels and we have at least 30 orders that we can't fill because we need another 70+ to get the rates we had.
And yes, barely passed conception as in we have a name for the set (that was given to us), and a rough idea of what type of specials we want each of the new characters to receive.
I have nothing wrong with gauging interest, but this is not the right time. We had a very good turn out for The Marvels because everyone had a reasonable expectation as to what the set will contain.
well, bios and i are mocking up a bunch of cards, so the time seems right to me
Then go ahead with it. I'm removing myself from the project to focus on the website.
At whatever time seems right, I'm in for roughly 3 sets, maybe more, and I'm willing to prepay/donate to help pay for costs.
no donations will be required. depending on the size of the order, we may or may not require pre-payment
if the order is small enough, we won't, but i know sean had to pay big bucks to front the costs of the marvels cards
I thought so... which is why I proposed prepaying. Im just saying this to help ensure that the project can be a success. If finances for production are trouble, I would gladly throw some extra funds out to make it happen. The Marvels were only about $20 and I got every card i would need in the set. I'm used to buying CASES of Magic the Gathering, and not getting a full playset of each card in the set. So if I threw in a few hundred to help fund the costs, I would still be getting my money's worth. :) I don't like printing my own homemades. It just isn't the same, and the Marvels project got me pumped about playing some OP. I love it.
If the production quality were high, I would have interest for a set-- if and whenever that comes to pass.
I would absolutely be interested in supporting this project! I was overwhelmed with how impressive the Marvels expansion was.
Count me in for a set! I too loved the Marvels expansion and we've had so much fun incorporating those into our play. :)
I'm in for a set
Yeah, I'm up for one (or maybe a few, LOL) too. Please do let me know if you want any help on the work though - really would be happy to help you guys out with the same team of artists who made Power Balance. Let's strive for high quality stuff, hey?
I'm up for a set.
I bought 4 sets of the Marvels set & will probably buy the same for this set! :o
wow, that was a more positive response than i was hoping for!
that'll get us to 20 sets, which should get us a halfway reasonable price :)
