I have been playing overpower with my brother and son since the game first came out. It's still my favorite card game.
While we play a pretty standard game, we do have a few house rules:
1. We only play with hero themed decks from comic books, not decks based on stats, specials, etc.
2. When we use battle sites, we only use one of the characters from the site. This character must fit into the theme of the deck.
For example, here is my original Avengers deck:
Home Base: Marvel Manhatten
Henry Pym (3-4-3-7=17)
Iron Man: Original Armor (4-3-5-7=19)
Thor (7-5-7-4=23)
Wasp (6-6-1-4=17)
Battle Site: Gamma Base
Hulk
3. Because we only use one character per battle site, activator cards don't count as duplicates
