Title: Hi, New to the community, Looking for some Games
Post by: Terraforcer on October 24, 2013, 12:26:57 PM
Hey there.  Finally got OPO working and am looking for a game.  I haven't played the game in approximately 15 years now.  Would love to have a game with someone so I can re learn the tricks of the trade.

Been a while since I've stopped into the forums but its still nice to see people are still joining the forums. Welcome. Hope you've found some people to play Overpower Online with. I haven't played it in quite a while and hoping to get back into it again.

i hear rumors that someone is currently updating the OPonline database file.  If I ever get my good computer fixed up i'll set up my power cards to go into the game...i just hope that the programming code has been fixed...OPonline tends to crash at times..

I also recommend Skype to play against people.  I played some games against CoS from the forum and it was pretty good.  Only reason I haven't played him in a while is because of the time difference between us (4 hours) as he lives in Alaska..

greetings martin!

how is playing on Skype?  it seems to take bad parts from the 2 options.  having to take the time to physically shuffle/move cards, while not having the social aspect

There are a couple things that I don't like about OPonline that I have with Skype.

1) if skype crashes, not a big deal, your cards are still there, just reboot..
2) you can't talk over OPline, only type...and i'm a terrible typer
3) there are certain game situations that OPline can't fully duplicate, especially with the marvels cards, like Bishops, spidermans cards.

as for playing, we used two camera views.

and then the playing view:

Sorry the pictures are grainy, I have an old web cam...lol
