Very nice! But the God of magic should have a higher energy rating, and I wouldn't give him a 7 Intellect sense all his plots fail in the end horribly. maybe 6-7-4-5
Thanks for the feedback. This grid may change, but the 7/7 fighting intellect stat is meant (at the suggestion of someone else on the forum, which i certainly 'stole' or whatever) to be a mirror of Thor, the special cards are meant to mirror these as well.
With regard to his high fighting stat, i had this discussion with someone the other night, and my basic thought is that even though he uses "magic", his attacks aren't energy attacks: they're not bolts of plasma, or lightning, but rather the summoning of monsters or some other form of trickery which imposes "melee" damage. The two obvious exceptions to this thought process are Professor X and Magneto, however they were created before IQ and I think the model has changed since then.
We can deconstruct a number of old heroes (Spidey, for instance) and talk about how their grids are wrong or unrealistic.
Last, there are no Marvel X-7-X-7 heroes, and I wanted to make one.
Agree or disagree, that's my story. Please provide more feedback (and a better picture for norn illusion if anyone has one handy).
I agree he doesn't use energy based attacks, but you gave him an 8E multi-special and a 6E OPD special. So how is that possible if his stat is a 2?
Honestly? The six is there for anyone who complains that Loki should have a higher Energy stat - LOL; kind of like Hulk's 9F special.
As for the multi - the same could be said about ProfX's 8M and his grid of 8-1-2-7. I've always thought it was standard practice to order the icons from top to bottom. The reason why it's a 3-stat and not a 4-stat is two-fold: (1) to make it consistent with Thor's and (2) to gimp Loki somewhat (otherwise he'd have a possible special attack in every power type using 4 different specials, which i thought was a bit much for him, considering his strong grid).
Keep the feedback coming, i appreciate it. I'd like to work on some other characters and some different cards, so please keep it coming.
What did you think about the template for the special cards?
Awesome Loki cards! My knee-jerk reaction was to see him have a higher energy stat but I concede to your reasoning behind it. His skills in magic can certainly be showcased with those higher energy attack specials. Love the HU variant pic.
Thanks for the feedback, Nate! I posted the files for download in another post if you want to try them out...
those look pretty good

Thanks Steve - still havent seen you on skype!
one cannot be seen on something that one doesnt have
They told me that Skype replaced MSN messenger.
I don't care which means of communication you'd prefer to use, I just want to play OPO! lol
I like the specials. I'd perfer 7 energy to fighting for Loki's stats. The 7 fighting bothers me partially because it reminds me of Batman. Also I don't like his fighting being higher than Thor's. Anyway, still good job.
Thanks for the feedback, everyone.
After much deliberation, I've changed Loki's grid (see O.P.). He's now a perfect mirror of thor, and the only problem is that it makes them nearly impossible to pair in a deck...until the Asgard location card is finished, that is.
There are already too many E/I characters as it is, so I'm not inclined to raise his energy stat higher than 5, but I don't disagree with you all that maybe keeping his grid at 20 was a bit overzealous.
I've also changed his HU to a different card, since their grids are very incompatible at the moment.
good work on the char.!
I suggest his grid to be changed to
5E
5F
4S
7I
Also for the Hulk Buster, I have considered this char. before with this specs.
3E
4F
8S
7I
Being in HB ARMOR doesn't change Tony Starks intelligence, so keep the 7, but that same factor doesn`t change his fighting to justify the 6F...

Thanks for the suggestion - I'm going to change is grid to 5-7-4-7, being a double 7 makes him an "anti-Thor" (7-5-7-4) and I sort of like that. Also, there aren't any good F/I heroes out there...(apart from batman/ra's)
you do really great work Teesaw, if i was to extrapolate between these 2 resources i would do his stats a little differently.
nobody is right or wrong... he can be done in a number of ways... so many cards have variants that include very different stats. the below 2 sites can be a great resource as well to get rough guidelines as you work towards creating more characters in the marvel universe. you could even look up the old marvel cards back in 1991, 1992, 1993 etc on the back of the collectable cards they had stats on them for each type, can also use that as another alternative way to stat people.

speed and durability aren't really included as stats in overpower... but i would throw a little of those stats towards fighting and strength. speed can effect your fighting ability, durability is another type of strength.
so say the 7 is the max for the website, that would be the equivalent of setting an 8 in the overpower world.
7E-4F-6S-6I (according to wikia marvel site)
Frost Giant's are nearly or equal to Asgardian Strength, so you could get Loki at the 5/6/7 strength range.
6E-3F-6S-5I (according to marvel universe site)
its about maintaining a balance too, you want to keep it close to the marvel world, but also want to make characters fit point and stat wise in overpower, hard to make many past 21 point cost and keep them where they would be. it would make it harder to fit more of the new created characters into a deck. and that would be less fun for everyone :)
to accomodate everyone, it is possible to keep a person with a slightly lower stat value cost, but of course keep the special cards very useful and powerful to offset their stat lowering you might have done.
lol shoot. if he really does weigh in at 525 pounds thats strength in and of itself.
Teesaw i love your work on all of your customs. Thank you for sharing.
