I am looking to pick up a few image multi 5s.
If anyone has any available please send me a message and we can work out some combination of cash and/or trade.
Thanks!
i don't think there will be a line up of people to trade/sell their multi 5.
I was LUCKY to get mine for the price that i did...
Good luck with that. I always wonder if I'll ever get my hands on one. :-\
A while back, I saw one. It was glorious.
I had one posted on this board for sale 2 weeks ago, i received four offers for it in less than a hour. Try contacting BornAgain, he is the one who bought it and is looking to resale it.
Thanks for the reply dr death.
I had contacted him, but he had sold it already :(
I can part with two or three, what's the going rate?
I will grant you the right of prima nocte of my girlfriend to get in on the bidding for at least one of those.
hahahaha...i paid 18 dollars for mine :D
the problem with Scotland is....it's full of scots
Chuu, I both admire and hate you simultaneously
I paid 3.50 cents for each of mine, cause ya know, i like bought a booster pack a few times and pulled them out.
I thought I lost mine recently, turned out my nephew had picked it up and put it in his deck after we played. Did not enjoy the stress . . .
I drew fighting, strength, and intellect icons onto a 5E Century Card with a sharpie - and YES...I used a Red, Green, and Blue sharpie for each icon, and wrote the number in black.
That should be just as good, right?
I've got one for sale....hit me with offers.

Amen to that!

Whats the difference if bornagain got it or not? It still gets sold to an overpower player eventually.
i don't agree with his trading practices. He always tries to get double or triple in trade value from you.
heh whatever if people want to scour up cards from average people so you can sit on a monopoly of cards and charge higher prices go for it. ill just use ebay to get cards and refrain from buying yours
Thing is Bornagain is the biggest seller on ebay as well. He pretty well has the market covered, but he knows what things sell for so he's always comfortable buying from others what he knows he can sell.
I don't love dealing with him, but I am happy that there is someone out there still selling the game at all. If he wasn't selling on ebay there would be a lot fewer items available. As far as trading goes, you just have to know what your cards are worth going in. This forum should make finding other trade partners much easier.
he is overpriced. he is clearly into overpower for profit. this means he likes profit more than the people who need/want the cards. reselling your card is an upsell you could have done yourself. he takes the good cards from people and controls the supply. he almost has no competition.
I haven't ever had a problem with him. But then again, I spent a lot of time cataloging all of my 30,000+ cards and have a good idea what price range all of them fall in to. He's never tried to rip me off or do a trade that was shady. I've always found his prices to be along the lines of what cards from other sellers go for on Ebay. Sounds like a couple of you have different experiences, though?
The thing is that since he is in it solely to make money, he will never offer to buy anything from you for what he values it at. And would never sell you his cards for what he would offer to buy from someone else.
You just have to realize that you are dealing with a vendor and not a collector so you will always have to give more than you would get for value otherwise it's not worth his time.
If you need a card though, he is a great resource to try and get it.
yeah exactly, just gotta realize if you want to get a good deal for money, check ebay and forums first... it is great to have him as a backup, most of what he sells is reasonably priced, but yeah the rarer cards can cost you and add up. still a little cheaper hobby than Magic's TCG :)
Look guys, I hate bornagain more than anyone. In fact a few years ago I made a thread on here complaining about him terribly.
The bottom line is I made a post that I had a lot of some rare cards for sell and I posted my asking price. He was the first person to respond, and he met my asking price. So he got the cards. If he wants to make money, I cant blame him, I'de like to make money whereever I can also.
But yes, he's a dick.
I'm not judging you at all, man. You made sure you got what you were looking for, so there ya go. You shouldn't have to make those decisions based on the rest of the OP community. Do what's best for you.
Redirecting back to the thread topic:

Ummm what?? $125? chuu, see if this seller would go for your $10 bid lol
Yeah that's my listing. In the end everything is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Currently its the only one avaliable so why not ask top dollar? Whining about it won't make it any more yours. And Mark has always made fair deals to me, the guy puts in a lot of effort and deserves to be paid for his time. Or do you guys go to work for free?
i think that's the thing...he sees it as business and not fun...for fun i do alot of free things...like the power card set...i must have spent like 40 hours looking for all those images and photoshopping but its not like i put that into the price...
by the way, i will have about 10 sets available in the next two weeks
On the topic of BornAgain79, he is a great great great resource for cards....He is a excellent seller, and delivers with great speed, but with that being said I will never deal with him, ever. Long story short, he basically took a protocols 6I+3I classic insert from me because he felt that he gave me a good deal on some common/uncommon cards I bought from him. We worked out a deal I paid his asking price for the common/uncommon lot and then proceeded to trade him some of my extra rare cards for cards that I needed, tick for tack we traded and all was great. I mentioned that I had a extra protocols and he was very interested so I told him, I'll send the protocols to you and we will work out either store credit or a trade once I sat down and had time to go through what I wanted for it. Then he sent me a email saying that he gave me a good deal on the common/uncommon so he wasn't going to give me anything for the protocols. So I advise everyone to not trust him unless it is directly through e-bay or pay pal!
I am in the process of trying to get to the bottom of this situation, but it is not looking good for bornagain.
common and uncommons are easy to get and inexpensive, when i was young and i had a rare card my friend needed (Silver Sable), he gave me an offer i couldn't refuse and i got a horde of cards that i needed and wanted. (i probably gained more than my value for the card and then some)
that guy is acting out of pure greed. if he had integrity he wouldn't have tried to jack you for an ultra hard to get insert like protocols.
so anytime he gives anyone a deal its only because he wronged someone else in the first place.
meh i will just stick to ebay and whatever i can trade for online instead of dealing with someone who think they have a monopoly of this shit and fcuk the real players around while you only in this for profit. i can get way better deals from other people anyway.
Bluefire what do you mean get to the bottom of this? Are you like on Overpower cop?
Just wondering, or maybe you know him personally.
If the story above is true then that's a pretty low thing to do, especially if you are running a business selling cards you would expect that your dealings should be ethical and fair. (if you considering offering to buy cards at less than half of what you will turn around and sell them for)
The problem with the Overpower dealers is that they aren't real businesses and are just guys trying to make a profit dealing in these cards, there are no set prices and they will play prospective buyers against each other or work with each other to boost their prices.
we can complain all we want, lord knows I have been frustrated by more than one of these guys, but they have all the cards and we're the guys looking for them. Luckily I came across a couple of other people selling cards that were outside of the regular dealers and was able to negotiate what I thought were fair and reasonable prices for the cards.
there is virtually no amount of commons/uncommons that equal the value of the insert. the fact that you already agreed to a price is shameful
there is no anecdote about this guy that I wouldn't believe at this point
born again my ass
Amen to that.
Rucker73.
I have been talking to the poster about this for around a month now and just wanted to add a little support for him coming forward.
I have received some but not all of the emails regarding this.
If I feel the story holds up, I will ask Jack to read them as well as contact bornagain.
Assuming this is true, we need to remove him from the preferred seller list for the best interest of the community as a whole.
Finally, as I understand it all deals were finished and then the insert was sent for future store credit. I believe bornagain wanted to verify it was real first or something like that. Then instead of agreeing on a value of store credit, he just took it....
he is the FOREMOST seller of overpower cards in THE WORLD
if he decides to keep an insert for no reason, IT IS HIS GOD GIVEN RIGHT! do NOT question him
be thankful he did not invoke prima nocta
Yup, and just in case anyone wants some more evidence as to why you should never deal with BornAgain under any circumstances:
http://www.beenhereandthere.com/SMF/where-to-buytrade/bornagain79/
At one point he enters the thread to "defend" himself and takes the opportunity to drop some gratuitous insults on his competitors like OrangeKing.
Prima Nocta is MY right to invoke!
Onslaught, these messages shows how this (character) is unprofessional!
Like many of you, I also had problems with bornagain!
He does not know the word respect!
I told him that I would never deal with it and that's what I did!
He does not deserve that I still give him money!
It is easy to find other seller who sell at lower prices.
In any case, it is he who suffers the consequences, because if it is professional, it would make a lot more money!
I had opened my last image box and now I'm only missing 1 multi 5 card. If anybody has another image box for sale please let me know and how much?
