What a shame that these things are so damn expensive nowadays...Since I don't see much tournament play, anyway, I may just print a set of high quality proxies for myself and call it a day - maybe that will motivate me to finish my customs, and I can print everything together.

Make your own cards is fun but it's not the same thing as owning the full original sets!

I'm glad they had a small print of these.

Small print was only done in these boxes. Less than 100,000 boxes were made.

Power surge OP 1995

IQ OP 1996

Classic OP 1997

Monumental OP 1997

JLA OP 1997

Image OP 1998

Xmen OP 1999

Over a Million boxes where made in the other mid 90's OP boxes mentioned below.

Marvel OP 1995

Mission Control 1996

DC OP 1996

These flooded the market and are not that expensive. I'd be surprised if any of these boxes ever would go for over $200
a box in the next 10 years.

I'm confused $400 is a good price but.... In a few years none will be  over $200?  Worst spammer ever lol... Andy I'll bring more cash to tourneys in future...that's the only way I WILL get something from prize table.   Btw offers still there    ;)

NinjaGaiden2, where did you get the information with regard to the number of boxes produced?  I've been interested to know this for some time and never found any information with regard to print numbers.

Any insight on this would be appreciated.

I think he means the million+ box ones (Original, MC, etc.) will never be more than $200 a box...that seems ridiculously high, but I think that's what he meant.

@NinjaGaiden2

I would also love to see a reference.

One that doesn't start with "back in the day I was talking to this guy..."

Back in the day I was talking to this guy gotcha! JK

Yeah I was referring to the Other 3 boxes. Doesn't take a genius to figure it out AO!
My info came strictly from Fleer I just called and asked to speak with a Sales rep about opening a account possibly. They tried to get me a account but since I don't buy in quantity or bulk I cheated for my info. I told them That I used to have and account a long time ago and was thinking to open one up again. He asked me what was my business and what I might be interested in purchasing but I dodged all of his questions. I don't even have a account and he told me.
They still have the data base of all the cards ever printed from different print shops. Unless the guy just BS'd me who knows.

Cheers !
