Hi,
I'm trying to fill out my collectors' sets, and figured it couldn't hurt to post up a haves/wants list. I will sell cards I have (cash buys other cards!) or gladly trade for my needs. My lists are still kind of long, so let me preface by saying that my highest priorities are (in order) finishing DC Overpower, Marvel Overpower, JLA Overpower, and Powersurge. The other sets I'd like to assemble, but there are some big hurdles. I'm also looking to acquire some promos. But I have a lot (I've picked up some pretty decent collections on eBay, and there were definitely excess cards at every rarity), so take a look!

I am trying to get both pages up to date, so there may be some discrepancies. Please PM me or email me or post here to confirm that a card on my have or wants is there. Having said that, my DC/JLA lists should be complete on the first site (except for commons and uncommons, of which I think I have multiples of them all for both sets). The second site is a bit easier to search, and I am getting my lists up to date there as fast as I can. Thanks for looking!

You are 100% correct. Still updating, but I've noticed lots of users seem to need this:
Neron - Your Heart's Desire - VR
Which I have an extra copy of. I also have 2 other cards (though not extras of them) that are apparently highly sought after:
Any Character - Bastion - VR
Any Character - New Universe - VR
While I would prefer not to trade them, I also don't have very much Monumental or Classic, and am very keen to finish my other sets that are closer to completion (such as DCOP, or JLAOP).
hmm i would be very interested in Bastion and New Universe, i think i would have a few cards you need to compensate you :)
I have (unsurprisingly) heard from several people interested in those 2 cards (particularly New Universe).
I think I'm going to hold off on parting with them until after I've gotten more of my common, uncommon, and easy-to-acquire rares/Very Rares. I can't be sure, because there's not a wealth of information available, but New Universe seems to be exceedingly difficult to acquire/rare.
Also, does anyone have any experience purchasing from either of these 2 vendors:
Bornagain79
TheOrangeKing
They appear to be the largest vendors of OverPower, which lends them some credibility automatically, but I am hesitant to make any kind of purchases or trades without some firsthand information from others about their pricing/business practices/general impression of them.
I have bought from but never traded with the orangeking, it was a good experience. As for bornagain, he contacted me on the trade site when I first posted my doubles, I wasn't too experienced in trading but I knew that he wanted to get way too much from me than I would get from him so I decided to pass on the trade. I've heard others have had similar or worse experiences with him.
P.s. New universe isn't really that rare or useful since fortress does the same thing, I'm surprised people are looking for it.
i just saw a guy on ebay selling new universe for 7$ bid and $10 buyout, i guess someone bought it out i was planning to bid on it
i have bought cards from bornagain and it went good, he sent great quality cards.
orangeking i find usually has every card in stock, both are reliable dealers imo.

I was scammed by bornagain, so I won't go any where near him again. You are also right about his one sided trades.
greetings doc. is that name a play on the king book?
bornagain has some really questionable moves in his past (like price swapping, and outright theft). orange king has positive reviews across the board, plus he comes out to the tournaments
a couple tips about trading. I wouldn't give up cards you only have 1 of...you seem to have come to that conclusion yourself. also, I wouldn't trade expensive cards (~20 dollars) for a bunch of 2 or 3 dollar cards. that's what I did, simply to fill the gaps quicker. the problem is, when it comes time to track down the bigger cards, you have nothing left that people want.
anyways, welcome to the forums!
That's a good guess, but no, I lifted it from a Warren Ellis comic a few years back that never got finished (word at the time was, the HD he had it saved to crashed, and I guess it just never got back to his "active projects").
I had sort of put together your advice in regards to trading on my own, but I still appreciate it. I've been considering putting some of my excess back up on eBay to put together the funds to fill out some more of my collection (because y'know, my wife's only going to be so understanding about excessive spending on CCG's).
I also really appreciate all the input regarding bornagain and theorangeking. I stumbled across this site while looking for places to buy/trade overpower, and one of the first threads I read was a post from NinjaGaiden about tkmops and the terrible experience he had, which was very handy because the same guy has a box (unsealed) of Image for $550 on eBay and I was tempted by it at first. Not now, as the combination of bad press here and my concern about an unsealed box being adulterated (I'm not sure if it's common to have packs opened, repacked, and resealed, but at $550 I'm certainly not stupid enough not to be concerned about it) was enough to turn me off.
Also, I've already gotten an invitation to play online! I'm trying to get caught up on rules, because the last time I actually played, there were not Locations or any of their associated cards and rules (such as Activators... I think I finally get that concept) or honestly several other cards types (Artifacts comes to mind). But once I do and I get some decks brewed up, I hope to start playing on Skype. Or, if it exists there, on Lackey. Of course, first I have to get Lackey installed and working on this computer.
update your list on mahasamatman, its easier to read and trade with, the other site you can't search unless your a paying member or signing up for the first time with free trial access and the same month after the year you signup again :)
