I worked on cropping out some of the card borders from each set if anyone wants to use them for their homemades. I'm probably going to re-touch some of them but they look usable in their current state.
Here's a sample:
The actual files are ~100MB each at a much much higher resolution.
I like it. Can you email the high res file? The only homemades I have endeavoured to create are aspects for the Homebases. This seems a good border for those. ;D

Anyones you want in particular?
That is really great. I would love to get a hold of these files. I would definitely be willing to host them on my site.
I have a ton of scans that I'd like to share but the server that's hosting Overpower.ca has only 6GB. The hosting package was purchased mainly for e-mail and the uptime provided was superb. I'm getting a colo in a few years..
I can probably host them on my overpoweronline.com server since I have 30GB of space with them. Only problem with them is that it's a shared VPS and some people take advantage of it and abuse the system.
Palantinus, I won't mind putting them onto your server, would space be an issue?

I have about 350GB of free space so I should be good. Honestly I am not using my webserver for much these days so I don't mind using space for Overpower.
Guess space isn't an issue, is it possible to get an FTP account? I'll likely do my uploading on my campus since my upload at home is too slow.

The answer is yes. Let me work on that. I will email you when I have it set up.

I have emailed you the account info. I messaged you the password on here so that at least I can feel a little more security conscious by not sending the username and password together.
Got them, thanks!
I'll upload BBH's Onslaught border tonight and do the rest on campus by the end of the week.
Sounds great. If you want me to put up a page with links to the images let me know. Otherwise you can hotlink to the files on my website. Or both. Just let me know.
Just hotlinking would do, no need to make this pretty. :P
That's fine. I might put a page up at some point anyway. If 50 gigs winds up not being enough space, let me know.
50GB is more than enough right now, there's only 20GB of raw and processed images on my server at home.
Though, that 48-bit 4800DPI image for Wolverine/Spiderman might take a significant chunk of it. :P

Definitely cool, would be interested in more. Got a hommade set brewing myself at the moment!
I'm actually thinking of creating a card generator of some sort. It's very doable and I've done it before, just not with 6 fonts (OPD, card code, special's name, hero's name, attack damage, special's text) and variable text placement. It'll be something to think about if I'm stuck on OPO.
@metaphist: Have you had any experience with GD2+PHP?
Not GD2 in particular, but regular old GD. I've actually recently done something similar to what you describe, in amending variable text to an image. If you've done it before, adding more fonts isn't a problem at all. Compared to the whole OPO conversion, a card generator would be a vacation :)

Thanks Jack!

Anything would be easier than OPO at this point. :P
If you're interesting in doing this, I have a font pack that I can provide. The border images should be up by the end of today assuming I don't get booted for uploading > 1GB at school.

Cool, I'll grab all the borders later and throw something together probably tonight. I actually have some other ideas with it, so it should be fun.
I can raster them down to reasonable sizes (1500x2100 perhaps) if it'll make things easier for you. The PSD files are 100MB each.

Here are the PSDs:

Guessing everything is self explanatory, I still need to do Aspect and Artifact.
Got em, and got something started. I'll probably have something to show tomorrow night.
I didn't examine all the borders, but when testing with the classic border, it seems like the top is very slightly cut off, a few pixels only but noticeable when you overlay it to another card.
Yeah, I forgot to account for the space where the lamp actually does the scanning and thus missing the tops of a few cards. I also used the (horrible) ratio of 5:7 to crop out the cards instead of the newer ratio of.. ~(62.75 to 63.25):88.25.
I'll scan them again once I bring the cards to a higher quality scanner.

Rough version. There's a lot to account for as far as font placing that I'll have to figure out. On the short list is getting a bounding box for the description (using imagefttext() at the moment).
The image resizing can be a bit weird as well.
It's a start though.
That looks awesome! Found a small bug (stripslashes).

I wish I knew how to do cool stuff like this! :o I'll settle for knowing cool people who can do cool stuff like this, though 8)

Fixed, which was weird since I don't know which function was automatically escaping for me (wasn't me).
BTW, any chance I could get you to crop out some power icons for me? ;D
I actually had them up for Onslaught:
