Title: My first (complete) homemade
Post by: Jack on September 21, 2011, 12:48:34 AM
I didn't feel like doing homework, so I started to think about OverPower. I had a deck idea in mind but I needed the Marvels version of Galactus (NickW says it was planned (http://overpower.ca/archive/Ripayuheadoff/op/marvels.html)) that is a full 8 grid and 24 points with no penalties.

So, I fired up Photoshop and voila..

I have absolutely no skill in this so I have no idea how to make the soft glow around the EFSI and icons. I didn't dare touch gradients so I left GALACTUS in white. Image borrowed from the "ending" of Marvel vs Capcom 3.

I updated it, I found a better font for EFSI and made a better glow (work tends to be better at 9AM than at midnight). Also found the gradient overlay option and made GALACTUS in yellow/orange, I'll get accurate colours later.

More updates, found a better image for Galactus and added a slight blur to remove pixelation, found closer colours for the gradient used for character names, added some shadows here and there.

Going to work on it a bit more and do a print before my weekend match against bamf!.
