Most likely. I played a lot in Buffalo and there were always a large group of Canadian players there. I would have to see the face, I don't remember names much. I remember Norman Barth from my NY regional games that's about it.

Im 27, i started collecting overpower when i was 9 years old

I had all but forgotten about the game until my 5 year old son found my lunchbox full of superhero cards

Weve been playing for about 3 months, and he's pretty much a pro.

Today, he was feeling cocky and he ventured 6 on the second battle and after I couldn't talk him out of it, he won the venture and the whole game

Wanted to share with somebody...

Anyone else teaching their kids to play?  If its worthwhile I was thinking about putting together a brief tutorial of my experience, the stages that I taught the game to him, etc...not sure if that exists or if it would be considered useful

got into this with my step brothers when i was about 12, just turned 30. took a long break from it, but learned about the other sets after Monumental and IQ which is about the time i stopped collecting...only having a few cards from those new sets. so lately i have been playing catchup with ebay and other various card sellers. gonna have all the cards one day :)

TheBradness

Started in 1997, so I was 17.  Played for 2 years, then went away to college and didn't take my cards with me.  Got back into it around 2008, had to rebuild my collection, and have been going strong since!

teesaw- I've taught my 8 year old, she's got it down pat. I also taught the game in stages and it worked really well. I'm in the process of doing it with my 6 year old, too, but he's still a little impeded by his reading level. hems getting it, though =]

I am almost 45 and I started at the very beginning so I was about 26 or so. I played many places, Chicago Nationals, Buffalo and New York. I lived in New Jersy at the time and now im back home in Ohio.

I introduced the game to my niece and nephew over the Christmas holiday. They loved it! Although they were upset at me for not having told them about the game all these years. Ha! These new Marvel movies are really increasing the interest of the newer generations and I bet that if Overpower came out now, it would be very popular.

TheGeneral

I totally agree. Ive introduced it to my nephew and my son and his friend and they show great interest in learning it.

I don't remember how old I was when I started playing, but it was pretty much when the first set came out. I had read the adds in the comic books I was reading. I am now 47, as far as I can tell, the second oldest one in this thread so far. One of my best friends and I bought boxes of every exspansion that came out. In the beginning my wife collected and played too, but later lost interest. We not only  supplied all three of us, but another best friend and his younger brothers too. We never played in any tournaments, we never got news of them in Oswego, NY. I am however hoping to attend my first in PA in March. I have alot to learn between now and then. Looking forward to meeting some of you there.

Begone, youngling.  I am currently 56 and started playing in my forties.  Mike Sutton is even older, by a few months.

I was 13 when I started collecting and I am 31 now...

I still love this game but have had a hard time finding time or people to play it with.  The one thing I miss about living in Ontario was being close to the large group of Toronto players.

32 now.
Started back when I was an early teen, shortly after PowerSurge came out.
Bought a starter deck (the one with Carnage on the box, I loved Carnage so I had to have it) and got hooked BIG TIME!

I'm 28 now and remember playing with my dad right around when it first came out so I guess I was 10.  Dang, this game definitely brings back some oooooold memories.
