Deck Idea

Taking into consideration the recently released DC3, here's a deck I'm really excited to try:

Batman: Detective, Mr. Fantastic, Beast/ Dark Beast, Silver Sable (R).

Homebase: Team Overpower

Missions: Fatal Attractions or Shattered Image

LOADS of card draw and defense.  Here's the question I have.  If I use Dark Beast, it follows the Fighting Grid a little tighter and allows him AND Silver Sable to use a 6F teamwork.  I also have two ally cards that can be used by the entire party.  If I use Beast, I can use an additional teamwork (6S), it slightly alters the fighting grid, but also increases the flexibility of the strength grid.  However, I can no longer say that all ally cards can be used party wide.

Any thoughts on who's the better choice?  Personally, I think the potential for 5 teamworks over 4 can make a big difference.

Thanks for the help!

There are always 4 ally cards from xmen. And the any tw. I'd probably use dark beast.

Those any power allies are used to great effect by Orange King.  Any hero can use them...except X-babies.  Not a problem here!  Instead of Beasts, why not zoiberg, Er, I mean Donald Pierce?  An AO user with sweet OPDs and an energy AR and  a six in strength, why not?

I was just about to suggest that very change.  Beast has a 9F and S&G, but the deck as a whole really lacks a lot of offense.  I think Pierce might change that with his 7E (x2) and his, as you say, awesome OPDs.

I'm not really sold one the 6A allies; having too many increases the likelihood of dups.

Pierce is probably a better character for the deck.

I think you can have at least  5 ally cards without duping any. 1 each of anys and less than 5 fighting.

Do the 6A not count as dupes if I have more than one in my hand?  If not, I should consider adding them in.  I'm still on the fence about who the fourth member should be.  I REALLY like Stars & Garters, but Pierce has more offense and Lady Deathstrike.  It also allows me the use of a 6S teamwork.  I'll probably make him the fourth member; that's my instinct.

Bit of a tangent, what's the ruling on using DC3 for official tournaments?

BlueFire

DC3 is not allowed in official tournaments.

Thanks :)  I assumed as much.

BasiliskFang

DC3 is overpowered.

ally cards only count as dupes if the top 2 icons are the same.
this is the dupe rule for teamworks, double shot and basic universe as well.

Decided to switch from Any Heroes to a battlesite; think I'm going to use Krakoa.  It has great card advantage and lots of great energy attacks for the off suit hits.

If I were to try this deck out at a tourny, I think I would switch out Batman for the Starjammers.  Their LS, along with God of Stone, really lock down any hero decks.  Plus, they have some other amazing specials.  I'd need to get my hands on 2-3 "Professor X", though...

So, as it stands now, the legal team would be:  Starjammers, Mr. Fantastic, Donald Pierce, Silver Sable (R)

I still have to admit, I'm not 100% certain on who should be my negate hero (Beast, Dark Beast, Pierce).
