what's the largest number of cards one can have in their hand at once?

the number i came up with is pretty high, but probably not definitive

breadmaster

anybody?

the highest i've come up with so far is 105

there probably aren't that many non-duping cards that can go in, so it may have to be reduced to 102

what card does someone have to play to be able to draw 97 cards from the draw pile?

breadmaster

draw 97 cards, discard duplicates...of course ;)

this is how i came to the number:

it's after the first round, and all 7 missions are in reserve (say one player has played new universe), and pym particles is out (draw 10)

the 2 events are: 'to save the world' (match draws/discards), and 'a call to arms' (Move the Reserve hero to the front line this battle.  Return that hero to Reserve at the end of the battle.)

we both venture 7, so my hand is now at 15

opponent has stuff placed and discards all 15 (why he ventured 7...i don't know; it's hypothetical, maybe he thinks he'll dupe less in the 90 cards to come ;) )

i have 4 characters with HQs placed, and web-head placed on team overpower. that's another 15, so the total is now 30.  i play these each turn, so i'm never depleting from hand

opponents characters are: longshot/puppet master/taskmaster/marauders.  longshot has his 'purity of thought' placed (Draw one card for each card discarded this battle, including duplicate and unusable cards. Do not discard if duplicate).  he plays that and draws 15 cards. with his 15, the opponent draws 4 BQs (1 for each character, and the any), so that's another 60

so i match each draw for the event, and have 75 more cards, for a total of 105

as i said, i'm pretty sure this can get even higher.  possibly with the 5 purities, and even more discards from using the 'discard all placed cards' event.  without modifiers, each character can have 4 cards placed+2 for team overpower.  that's 18 discards, but it changes some other stuff, and my brain exploded after all that

that's crazy. simply crazy.  8)
