do you think these should have different, or the same codes as their non-reserve counterparts

there's evidence supporting both

SAME

BR: Banshee may have 1 additional card Placed on him until Banshee is KO'd. May be played from Reserve./Lex Luther may have 1 additional Power, Universe, or Special card placed on him until Lex Luthor is KO'd.

AD: Teammate may avoid 1 Energy attack. May be played while Black Widow is in reserve./Teammate may avoid 1 Energy attack(punisher)

AF: Opponent -3 to Venture total for this battle./Opponent -2 to Venture total for this battle. May be played from Reserve. (post)

DIFFERENT

AR/BP: Acts as a level 6 Energy attack.(magneto)/Acts as a level 6 Energy attack. May be made while Hawkeye is in reserve.

AI/MZ: Opponent must discard 1 placed card of Scarlet Witch's choice. /Opponent must discard 1 Placed card of Velocity's choice. May be played from Reserve.

going by the numbers, it seems they should be the same code. there are only 5 cards supporting different codes: velocity's discard, and the 4 BPs (elektra/hawkeye/huntress/tiffany).  there's only one AF from reserve (post), but plenty of examples of the other 2 (AD and BR).  of course, i may also have missed other examples on both sides

what do y'all think?

Bios

I think the cards should have the same code.

i'm not thinking of changing any existing codes.  i was just wondering for any future codes i may add

suppose i make a negate playable from reserve.  should it be 'AO', or a brand new code.  i'm leaning towards 'AO'

the main area of impact is battlesites.  since velocity is on a site that doesn't have an AI, and you'd have to be crazy to use a BP as your site OPD, this hasn't come up.  but if i create new specials for marvel villains, there's bound to be some overlap

gameplan.exe

the first thing I thought, with your examples, was that BP is a OPD (as you just mentioned). As for the MZ/AI, I always figured that the MZ was intended to be a OPD and it was an oversight. I know that Flash can play his AI from Reserve, via his I.A., but she also has an I.A. that plays to her speed...

At any rate, I think the biggest difference would be if the Special becomes a OPD. For the record, I think an unstipulated negate from Reserve should be a OPD. If you were to stipulate it (like Morbius' e.g.), then I think it could go to non-OPD status... Then again, depending on who's getting that card, maybe it would be fine  :P
