In honor of the "Custom Cards" section of this forum being so popular lately, I've decided to create an Overpower expansion for you guys to critique, even though I have never created homemade overpower cards before. I have to say first though, I made this expansion in exactly 1 hour's time, so not alot of thought went into it. Also, not alot of creativity as all the special cards are copies of existing overpower special cards (except like 2 of them). But I was bored and just finished playing some smash brothers so thought it would be fun, so without further ado, here is, Nintendo Overpower!

Set contains 14 hero cards, 5 specials per hero, one being an OPD. All characters are ridiculously underpowered in current overpower meta. But thats ok, I dont intend on actually making these cards or for anyone to take these seriously. Heeeree we goooo.......

Yup. So thats what I thought up. Anyone got some better ideas? Maybe with more time and thought and alot of changes this could actually become a decent set. Let me know what thoughts popped into your mind while reading this.

I think this is really cool - I've often thought about doing overpower themed in another (non-comics) universe.  Of course, I hadn't considered going down the road of a licensed property, but either way - this is really cool.

Do they have a Super Smash Bros. CCG in Japan (or the US...but a lot of these things are released in Japan and never make it here) - this could be the start of a brilliant idea!  Super Smash Bros. is the perfect venue for a game like this: there are already very specific locations, characters, abilities (special cards), artifacts....I think this is an amazing concept, and while I didn't review your specials in detail, I think this is wonderful the post may only have been overlooked because of the holiday.

I didn't overlook the post, drdeath, justa wasn't sure what I wanted to say.
I personally would see them as a stand-alone cards, as I don't think they really fit in at all with the characters of Marvel/DC/Image/etc.  Not up my personal interest alley.
But if this is an idea you're into, GO FOR IT!  I've seen OP cards made for all kinds of things - Star Wars, Star Trek, Anime series that I've never heard of, TMNT, Metal Gear Solid (name? video game), Street Fighters, and even WWE, just to name a few that come to mind, so its too outlandish an idea.  Why NOT Nintendo?  To me, anything that can spread interest in the game is a good thing.
OP LIVES!

Thanks for the input guys, Like i said i didnt put much time or effort into these, so you didn't miss out on much by not reading the specials, but I thought it was a good idea. Maybe as a standalone game not related to the actual overpower game.
