The text should be verbatim to the actual card.

When we made our set of Marvels, we modified some of the text for clarity. I don't think it makes a huge difference in terms of game play between the original text from NickW's website and the ones we printed off.

We have a wiki page for the changes made between our sets:

http://overpower.ca/wiki/OverPower_Toronto%27s_Marvels_OverPower_Release

I'll probably do a summary page if anyone wants but basically:

OJ specials: removed "May be used against Battlesite" clause.
Dr. Strange AD: conformed the wording to be similar to the rest of OverPower
Spider-Man's OP: Corrected NickW's wording, the WGP card is meant to be on top of the deck after the shuffle.
Thing's "OD": We changed the code to ZY from OD and clarified when 2 cards must be discarded.

BlueFire

The Marvel's wording that Jack used on his cards is the most up to date.

Jack's wording will be used at the K2 Challenge.

FYI

There is a Walmart grift card scam going around Facebook.

2 questions:
1) are we going to use the mutlipower card fusion rule?
2) for battlesites only one of each coded special is allowed, even if very similar in actions

Jack

Multipower Power card Fusion rule has been a rule since the first rulebook. Apparently not..

The Fusion Rule is a standard rule so it should be known to all OP players.

Supermartin

I played with an old friend of mine last fall and he refused to recognize the fusion rule and the last time I played in a tournament there was no fusion rule.

It's in the Monumental rule book, I am pretty sure.

Next time someone doesn't want to play with the fusion rule, go ahead and swap out ALL of your level 1-4 power cards for multi power cards. See how long he wants to keep playing without it.

Jack

It was first mentioned officially as of March 1996's publication of The Monthly Venture.

QuoteWhat about MultiPower cards? Substitute some of the Power card values one through four with a couple of MultiPower cards. However, remember that once you have hit an opponent's hero with a MultiPower card, any subsequent MultiPower card hits against that Hero fuse for purposes of determining Spectrum K.O. Having a handful of MultiPower cards is not going to help you K.O. anyone. Some Special cards combine with other Power cards for a single attack. They cannot combine with MultiPower cards. Be aware of this and construct your Power Pack accordingly. You might want to keep two or three of a certain value and type depending on the character and the Special.

BlueFire

One of each coded special is allowed per battlesite.
There are some specials that were coded wrong and were changed.
Look up specials on the overpower.ca special look up, under tools, to see if two can not be played together.

Also, only one opd (one per deck) per battlesite.

OP GOD

K2 Challenge.

Will there be any challenge, for an OP GOD?

BlueFire

For the 1st time in overpower history, the player that performs the best will be guaranteed to be crowned champion.

We apologize if this SCARES anyone that was hoping to only have to play their best for the last 3 rounds.
