OP3

Sorry for the delay guys.  Life and whatnot (though I am always working on OP stuff behind the scenes).  Anyway, the twelve Core Set DC Locations are finally up:

Well worth the wait!  Mostly great art choices, too.

Batcave - love the flexibility of characters.

Gotham City - IA alone could win you the game.

Hall of Justice - not sure I like the idea of a forced substitution of character to keep the team <=80, but who else should you use?  (no argument on character choice here.)  Your cards, your rules.  For those purists who insist of 4 of the 6 characters on the card, I might suggest adding some form of "if team is <=80" to the IA, just to make it playable for more people.  (Even though by your rules that would be understood.)

Lexcorp - The art work looks like one of the animated TV series (no idea which one).

Oa - again, I like the fexibility.  A team of GLs, imagine that.  I find the IA a little confusing.  Energy: pure energy, or a multi with an energy icon?  Attacks: whether they hit or not?  -2 to Venture Total: opponent, or Oa?  Please compare to the legacy Blue Area of the Moon IA.  Any chance on rewording the card for clarification of intent?

STAR Labs - The only art choice that I'm not that keen on.  Also, on Firestorm, are you leaving Prof. Stein out of the identity to indicate when they split into 2, or is it just to differentiate Ronnie from Jax?  (I'm sure space considerations have a role in it as well.)

Titans Tower - I cringe a little at Deathstroke being on the card instead of being a viable substitution.  But I'll get over it.

As with the Marvel locations, great promises of things to come.  Definitely keep up the good work when you get a chance!

I dunno about that.  4 or less is pretty easy to block, and it's restricted to Power cards.  You're not always going to have a 4 or less Power card left when your Opponent concedes.  Playtesting will tell.  The beauty of doing these cards in Photoshop is they're very easy to edit.  Nothing is written in stone.

Thought it was pretty straightforward.  :/  It's the same one from my Stark Industries card.  Your Opponent's Energy attacks, assuming they hit, are each -2 to their Venture Total.  None of my Locations have detrimental IAs.  I've been thinking about changing it to "Energy icons" to expand its usefulness, but yes, as of now it only counts Energy attacks.

There's not a lot to choose from, trust me.

It was a huge pain in the ass to figure out a way to represent Firestorm in terms of Identity.  But I decided to eschew Stein's name because when you look at Firestorm stories, Ronnie is the protagonist and Stein is a supporting character.  So I think he will be better represented as a Special.

QuoteTitans Tower - I cringe a little at Deathstroke being on the card instead of being a viable substitution.  But I'll get over it.

It was a tough decision, but I felt like if one Legacy Character was going to be included (Robin, say), then I would have to include all of them.  And then there would be too many original Titans characters left out (Beast Boy, Cyborg, Raven, Starfire).  If I make any changes, I might just boot Ravager off there in favor of Robin (Tim) or possibly Nightwing.  But Deathstroke is too important to the history of the Titans not to be included.
