Hello everyone -

After just about 2 years away from overpower, I've been thinking quite a bit about the game and the community lately.  We just moved cross-country and my son and I dusted off our Overpower collection.

Foremost, I hope everyone is well, and I'm thrilled to see that the site is still up and the community here is thriving.

I see a lot of activity on the boards from OP3 and some others - very cool stuff - I'll admit that I have not had a chance to go through even 1% of the stuff that's been posted over the last year, but scratching the surface - it seems very cool.

Not sure if anyone remembers the set of customs that I did toward the end of 2014 (link here), but I've been thinking about having a set printed as a vanity project for myself.

To do this, it would mean:
(1) Going back to my notes on a lot of these (everyone left some really great feedback on a lot of the specials and hero grids that I'd incorporate into the work)
(2) Changing my templates to allow for "bleed room" - will need to re-download all of the art that I used.  Changing the templates is easy, but re-downloading all of the card art will be a pain.
(3) Re-downloading will give me an opportunity to put art credits on all of the cards, but this will take some time (and make some new art decisions perhaps).

Two questions about this particular endeavor:

> Has anyone found a reliable place to get cards printed online?  I found a site online that's around $20-30 a set (90-108 card set) depending on the number of cards, the number of sets, and the paper quality.  Seems a little bit pricey, but it would be great to see my stuff printed.
> Would anyone be interested in a set?  Obviously these wouldn't be legal anyplace except home games, but I thought I'd just extend the offer.  I would say a realistic timeline for something like this would be ~6 months, so double it - Christmas 2017.

Cheers!

welcome back, teesaw!
unfortunately, no on both the card sets & printing possibilities.  back when we played, i justa printed out the homemade cards on 80 lb picture paper for everybody to use.  once all cards were placed in deck protectors, the homemade cards were virtually indistinguishable from legacy cards.  shuffling each others decks also minimized deck stacking.
but definitely looking forward to any new creations you care to share...

Pretty nice looking cards. I looked at the ones I already finished versions of and was impressed.

As to your printing i can offer some advice. I've never had a set printed myself but i do a lot of print and play boardgaming stuff and read about the options a lot. While Artscow and their sister site are a cheaper alternative usually the general consensus is the best quality is Printerstudio. If you get on their mailing list they have coupons and sales sometimes. You'll often find the deals posted in the hot deals section of boardgamegeek.com

For proxies I usually just go to staples and get them to print my files on their thickest paper (110lb?)  9 per page. Then I cut them. super cheap, works like a charm, and hard to tell the difference in sleeves.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the feedback and helpful responses, everyone.

I'm going to keep looking and let you guys know what I find.

As for the printed sets, I'll let everyone know if/when it's going to get done for real.
