I'll get a quote once I get the binder in and see how many pages it is.

Tournament guide from 1997, again, please don't use this as a definite guide for today's meta game.

Very nice indeed. It's an interesting read - did you happen to catch the bit where it says that it's legal to retrieve an Activator with the Web-headed Wizard...   :o

Somebody wasn't paying attention when they wrote it. :P

Time to bring back this topic.

If anyone's interested in the Powersurge poster, there's 2 left:

Quote from: JohnL on April 06, 2011, 05:50:27 PMPress sheets were cool because they had to be produced before the product and so changes were sometimes made before the cards were released. Here's one from Mission Control. I can't find a larger image but I did find a zoom in on that Brood hero card.

I don't think that Brood art ever showed up on another card, did it? Meaning there could be a fair amount of art that was commissioned for OP, and then just never used for one reason or another.

And I also managed to pick up one of those Mission Control sheets.

How's this for lucky:

I went for an eBay auction to specifically win Combo Magazine #24, the one with the 5 Any Power card. The auction came with 3 other magazines and the seller wouldn't split it up so I paid for shipping for all 4 items.

I got the item today and went straight for #24 and Black Cat was there. Satisfied, I rummaged through the 3 other magazines to see what was there. #20 exists but doesn't really have anything (it wasn't sealed). #35 is interesting because it has an OverPower price guide circa December 1997, I'll open it up for some scans.

And the last one, #21, flipping to the back and I noticed the Any Hero Savage Land. I was shocked. I was going to have the seller throw the extra magazines away and I got the promo Savage Land in a sealed bag!

very, very nice

i got the same surprise when i bought a hillshire set off ebay...tons of extra promos i didn't have.

such a great feeling!

I got the scans of the price guide, this was published just after Classic was released so there isn't any price on Classic cards.

This is just for archival purposes, these prices do not reflect the current market prices. :P

Thats a pretty awesome find Jack!

Also - does anyone know of anyone that wants to sale/trade any OP Uncut sheets? I'm looking to hang one up in my office at work.

Thanks!

I haven't seen an uncut sheet on eBay in a 3+ years. I bought one of the last two that were available on auction. It wasn't the best uncut sheet but I have one.

It was a uncut sheet of the JLA mission set, so a lot of useless cards in a huge sheet. The other one that was up for auction was, if my memory serves me correctly, the Onslaught OverPower expansion. The bidding got too expensive so I opted to just stick around for the JLA sheet.

Would you be interested in trading off the JLA sheet?  I really dont care what the sheet is of. I have no intentions of cutting it for use like I have heard some people do. I want to hang it up at my office for work  8) I think it would go nicely with my large Green Arrow Print  :D

Jack

Since it's my only uncut sheet, I'll be keeping it until I get another one.

Jesse

I completely understand. Let me know if you happen across another one   ;)  Thanks
