Those homemades look bad-ass. Thank you Bios.

Karmanal of Zert

They all look great! Very polished. I especially love Invisible Woman.  :D

Probably too powerful but what if Wolverine had a special card, or I.A. that said 'Hits from current battle are removed at the end of battle and do not get added to permanent record'?  A variation of this would be a special called healing factor: After determining venture total remove 1 hit from current battle,' perhaps as a 1 per deck.

Bios, I was wondering if it was your intent for your CK specials (Thanos, Dr. Strange) to allow the resurrected character to remain 'alive' until he/she/it takes 1 hit?  This would of course be unlike the standard rule for CKs because the resurrected character would be automatically KO'd at the end of the battle.
ncannelora -"I don't care if you're Captain - freakin' - America, you ALWAYS avoid a Standoff with Wolverine!!!"

a_noble_kaz - "If Mr Fantastic had an AO, he would be the god of Overpower."

I really like that idea. That would be a good Wolvie OPD - "Play in current battle. For remainder of game, after battle the has ended, Wolverine may remove 1 hit. Does not affect venture total."

After a lot of test playing and some feedback from friends, I've made a few changes in my homemade sets.

I forgot about this particular thread.  What kinds of changes did you make?  Is it to a special code type or to character stats?  Just wondering what to look for.  :)  Also what's up with your or old site?

As far as I can remember:

- The text "draw 1 card" was removed from PK Specials
- Replaced some of Thor's Special cards
- Changed the IA in some Homebases
- Replaced some pictures (eg Daredevil and Punisher's character cards and Professor X's Cerebro)
- Replaced the font in all icons.

My website will be closed for a while, but I still want to develop it. Me and Jack have quite the same idea, except for the use of homemade cards. When I talked to him he was not very friendly to the idea of using them. But he is doing a great job and I support his ideas.
For me its very important to have a channel to homemades. I am working with homemades for a long time and me and a bunch of friends are used to play with them. So I want to restart the development of the site anytime soon.
But I know that some people are against using non-official cards. So I think it is crucial to respect their decision by making two playing modes.

Thanks for resurrecting this thread to remind me of your invisible woman hero card. Best homemade art of all time.

I think new cards especially with new ways of playing are essential to the long term quality of any game and given that Overpower has been out-of-print for so long, homemades are definitely a good idea or more like a necessary idea.  I am working on a Batman:  the Animated Series expansion that I am hoping will add some new elements and especially make DC more of a usable set of cards.  I really like the homemades Bios has posted as well.

Hey Bios, I hope you don't mind, I borrowed your idea for Riddler's inherent for my DC character inherents list, and applied it to any placed card.   ;D

Just another homemade set, but lots of brand new ideas:

That's good. My brothers and I figured Bishop should have the Inherent, "May not be Spectrum KO'd with Energy icons." - we figured he can always absorb Energy, so it shouldn't hurt him like others, but the ability can be overloaded!

That a great I.A. for him! If only the game designers were smart as us eh?  ;D
