Special Cards / Re: HE/HL specials & Leech and...

Quote from: zippa_head on February 23, 2020, 10:04:10 PMHello, and great to hear you are enjoying the new rules. The whole idea was to make game play easier. To answer #1. Yes it can be played defensively and it works against any attack againdt Havoks team.

#2. Activators do not have any icons at any time. The specials when retrieved will have whatever icon is on them. Power Leech does not discard any Activators because of that mentioned above.

thank you

General Discussion / Re: High-Resolution Scans?

I have the lower resolution downloads (~270KB per card) if those will help.  I don't remember seeing any higher resolution images of those cards.

General Discussion / High-Resolution Scans?
Last post by Wolverine1 - December 05, 2025, 12:24:43 PM
I am trying to track down high-resolution scans of the old Marvel sets. I am interested in printing proxies for the cards I was never able to get.

I see in 2011 username 'Jack' made a thread called "Help with overpower.ca" asking for help with the website. It looks like he manually scanned literally every OP card to put on his website. He offered two different low-resolution versions of the scans, but also mentioned a "Raw" PSD, 1500x2100 pixel resolution (600 DPI): 28GB for the set (average of 9.25MB/card)" which he would not be distributing. I wonder if he ever changed his mind and let these files out there somewhere. Does anyone know? Or is Jack still around to answer?

Thanks in advance.

I, too, check in daily, though posting here seems to have died with the move to discard.
But over 1,900 users?  Not 1 with a post - so probably bots, I don't know.  And no one willing to explain themselves.  I justa don't get it.

I'm curious about the great volumes of "people" on the site, yet no one is posting anything.
Is this a "flash mob: kind of thing?

That's great! Glad to hear it.

We haven't messed with any of the new cards and I'm not sure how much we will, as we've mostly dove headfirst into the custom realm. So much cool energy from the creators that kept interest alive all these years!

Quote from: @mypalalex on May 18, 2015, 11:48:49 AMHello everyone, I'm Alex. I used to play Overpower back in the day with my brothers and our friends. It was all we did for years and was so much fun. After the series ended and the popularity died, I ended up selling my cards. However, being the creative people we were, my brothers and I started making up cards of our to play with. Probably not surprising. We started with some character cards for those who didn't have one, and others we thought should have one. I also started making up Transformers Overpower cards. I got very extensive with how much I made, making grids for a ton of regular bots, and specials to go along with their abilities. It was fun. While no one I know plays anymore, I was googling for images to make some cards for nostalgia purposes, and found this site. So, hello, and say hi anytime. Thanks!
Alex

Hey Alex! Glad to have ya. By any chance do you still have access to the Transformers customs you made? I'd love to see them!

Welcome, Alex!  Now is the perfect time to jump back in!

The collation for the new set means a single box of cards gives you pretty much everything you need to play.  You could even do it with less (and some trading).
