Good question. I eagerly await a response.  :)

Where's the closest place to upper east Tennessee that I could get into a game?  I live near Johnson City, Kingsport, Bristol.

We're hoping to get more tournaments/meetups in the USA in 2013. Buffalo, NY is on schedule for March. Depending on how that goes; we might stir up enough interest to have others near the West Virginia/Maryland area.

You're in the tri-cities? I'm in Nashville. Surely you come to the ville sometime! We should meet up.  ;)

I might visit a friend up in Boston next summer. Is that close enough? I suck at Northeastern US geography. Everything over there always seems to be a few miles away from all the other big cities.  ;D

Jack

I never bothered to learn any US Geography, I just load up maps to see how far of a drive it is from the Toronto area.

BBH and I won't be organizing these meetups in the US so we won't know when or where they will happen. If anyone's coming to the Toronto area for a visit, we'll certainly try to gather people for a meetup or try to push up a tournament date so we can have newcomers. You gotta give us 2+ months notice though.

But I will digress, we can discuss these meetups in another topic, this one should be about Southern California.

Judgeone is the one who organized the last California tournament so he's likely the one to do the next.

Wheres the love???

With that last tourney in So Cal having a good showing, I really thought we'd have another by now.  ???

We could plan a tournament around one of the comic conventions in Long Beach or Anaheim. Or I can see about having one at Frank & Sons in the City of Industry. It is basically a weekly collectibles convention anyways. Im not sure Judgeone would be involved because I bought a few boxes of cards from him a few months back. When I got home I realized after going thru them that he took out some of the valuable cards he had shown in the pictures he sent me. It was thousands of cards so it was impossible to check everyone of them in a parking lot. I'm sure he doesnt want to run into me again. We did this transaction around the time he stopped coming on this forum. You live and learn.

Bogus.  Plain Bogus.  But hey, if you plan something in SoCal, if the airfair isn't too steep, and its late enough in the year for me to save up, ya never know!  Might come see California.  Never been, and OverPower is a good enough reason to go.:)

I've never been to Frank & Sons but have always wanted to check it out. An Overpower meet up would certainly give me greater reason to check it out.  ;)

Sorry to hear about your bad experience with those cards.  :-\
