Re-Worded cards

Apparently I don't understand how this card is supposed to be played, or was intended to be played.  Anyway, I place it to Morph until a character is ko'd, at which time, on my turn as my action, I play substitute death.  I don't play it any other battle than the current one, and I don't swap for a character other than the one that was immediately ko'd this battle.  It's a death substitute, and thats how I play it.  One action, at the time my guy is ko'd.  If I didn't have it when my teammate was ko'd then I don't get to res him.  I'll just have to save it for the next guy on his way to the locker room. I'm probably playing it wrong, but I'm not bright enough to understand how the card is supposed to be played, and this is the best I can do, and no one can seem to help me understand how to play it properly, further strengthening the case that my intellect is less than Rhino's... even he could probably play this card game properly.  Thetrooper27?... not so much.  I'm changing my handle to thebuffoon27.  Look for it.

You guys are complicating the simplest things.

Just remove the first sentence and HP is clear.
QuoteImmediately exchange KO'd teammate and Morph. Discard all Placed cards. All Hits remain.

Though, I'd probably want to add On your turn, to prefix the card so you can't swap Morph out during a defensive action to, say, X-Babies and become immune to the KO.

That's how it reads to me.  Immediately exchange ko'd teammate and Morph.  Why would they put IMMEDIATELY in the wording if it didn't pertain to a character being immediately ko'd? ???  Not to mention, it doesn't say "a" ko'd teammate and Morph.  It just says "exchange ko'd teammate", as if to imply the one that just got his face bashed in.  It just doesn't seem to stretch far enough to exchange a teammate ko'd in a previous battle.  Someone dies in current battle, you play on your turn during that same battle, and immediately exchange ko'd teammate and Morph.  I like being able to get any ko'd teammate... that's much better and makes the card even better!  Not disputing that.  I'm just thinking that isn't how they meant for the card to be played in the beginning.  The meta rule is what makes it confusing.  I'll play it the way you guys say to play it... I trust you guys... but the whole reason all of this discussion began is because I felt that the wording was confusing as to how the card is actually played, and I've tried my best to convey my reasons why I feel this way.  Maybe it isn't confusing to everyone else, but to this simpleton, it's confusing. :P  No crime.. I'm still a cool guy 8)... but reword it for me to make it read more like it actually plays... and while you're at it, if it isn't too much trouble of course, put a cool pic of Morph getting killed with it so I can print it and use it. :-X

how about this:

On your turn, play this card to immediately discard Morph's placed cards and exchange him with any KO'd teammate. All hits remain.

we never changed the wording, jack came in and said we were reading it wrong.

From X-Men 42, he substitutes himself for Charles. So this is his death in Earth-616

These are sweeeeet.  Yeah, the Morph was just more me and my friends.  I appreciate that.  I didn't know Morph came from way back!  I thought Morph was an Xmen cartoon character first, then an Exiles character.

Is the Avenger's ID card a real card?  I'm assuming the only one that isn't already in print is the ZY.  If the ID card is a printed card, what set did it come from?

Avenger's ID Card was an accidental insert from Classic Edition... it is my biggest Overpower regret... I actually had that card in my hot little hands before I knew it's rarity. A buddy and I bought a lot on ebaY and we were splitting the cards. I let him have it because it seemed marginally useful at best, and he was a huge Hulk fan... when I found out about it's rarity, I contacted him about his OP cards and found out he had gotten rid of them all  :'( :'( :'(
