Did you see the error with the 3 Energy card?  It says "Intellect" instead of "Energy".

Otherwise, nice job.  Looks like she would play a lot like Scarlett Witch

That was exactly what I was going for - the 'Emerald Witch' card is sort of a nod to that.  I couldn't get over the similarity in character design when i was researching images.

Also - I'm really thinking about re-doing her grid...

Breadmaster pointed out that Asgardians have a natural super-human strength...Thinking maybe 7-3-6-5.

The other thing i was thinking about was maybe going 7-3-4-7 or 7-3-5-7.  Thor and Loki are double-7 characters, so maybe that's how we say "asgardian" in overpower terms.  I was thinking about Sif (or the Warriors 3) to round out the Asgard series at 2-7-7-4.

Any thoughts?

Here's my interpretation of stat scales...

Energy
1 - Doesn't use any energy weapons or ability. (Think unarmed human)
2 - Human who carries a ray gun.
3 - Really big ray gun.
4 - Has a special gift that can be directed at the enemy.
5 - Can start doing some damage with that gift.
6 - Cause some real damage with that gift.
7 - Just shy of a super power.
8 - One of the strongest, mutant, magical, cosmic, or  asgardian powers.

Fighting
1 - Child
2 - Woman
3 - Man
4 - Some Training
5 - Soldier training
6 - Navy Seal  training
7 - Expert martial artist
8 - Beyond normal human fighting skills

Strength
1 - Child
2 - Woman
3 - Man
4 - Average Asgardian woman
5 - Average Asgardian Man
6 - Super powered (ie: Spiderman)
7 - Just shy of being the strongest out there (Thor)
8 - Toughest there is. (HULK)

Intellect
1 - Mindless brute
2 - School child
3 - High school
4 - Average
5 - Above average
6 - Phd.
7 - Sub-genius
8 - Genius

I think those are fair.  The challenge in addition to that is balancing the grid with the character's specials and inherent.

I wish I could say there was a mathematical algorithim (and hey - maybe there is...there's something to obsess over all day at work...) but the thing to balance are:

(1) Total Grid (How hard is it to get this card into a deck)
(2) Quality Specials
(3) "Teamwork" Grid (Stats above 6)
(4) Inherent Ability

Sometimes you have to take some liberties in messing around with the grids to make a character fit the game, otherwise you'd have a ton of 23-point heroes that can't play together.  If you have a suggested grid for Amora, or any of the cards that I put up, throw it in the comments.

spidey usually hovers in the 20 ton range.  average asgardian females are at 25 tons (according to marvel) with males at 35 tons

as seen by my past posts, I've always wanted to tinker and get a standard for 1-8 levels, but it probably won't happen.  my latest idea, was to make an 'average' human level 2 in every stat.  there are very few comic characters then, that will get 1s, so it kind of balances with the few 8s

how does this look for strength?

1-weak human (shadow king)
2-average human (dr strange/black canary)
3-peak human (green arrow/hawkeye, pretty much EVERY male in comics ;))
4-enhanced human ~ton (captain America)
5-10-25 ton range (beast/spider-man)
6-40-70 ton range (aquaman on land/rogue)
7-~100 tons (namor/thing/colossus)
8-maxed out (thor/superman)

most dc tanks would be in the 8 category, with most marvels being in the 7.  it could be tweaked even further, since very few characters would go into tier 4...kingpin maybe?  some strong mutants?  this would also drop spider-man out of strength tw use

intellect is also really tricky.  since comics are idealized, virtually no one would score 1-4 in that system

Enchantress and her cards are looking good.  8)

Superhuman Strength: Amora is superhumanly strong, possessing physical strength roughly average for an Asgardian woman. At her peak, she is able to lift about 25 tons.

that's at least a 5 if not a 6.

HollyWood

I laugh at those numbers. Keep in mind a ton = 2,000lbs. Spiderman has a hard time picking up a Volkswagen, using these numbers they would be juggling tanks!

Thanks for the feedback.  I will definitely be enhancing Enchantress's Strength.

I'm thinking 7-3-6-5 (21), and I think she will work well with Thor - a little too well, I'm afraid, but I'm interested to test it and see.

I also playtested some of these cards, and they need to be a bit stronger:
- The GW card needs to be modified - I considered making it a FROG, however it becomes an issue if Enchantress and the marked character are the only two heroes left - then the game breaks.  I thought about maybe 'effect persists until the marked character is attacked by enchantress (similar to 'AZ' card)'..since its OPD it could be FROG, limited by that.  sounds pretty complicated...I'll have to give it more thought.
- The AR card is not strong enough - I'm thinking it should be a CC ('attack or defend') or an FU ('if successful target character may not play specials frob') (EDIT: "HY" (discard 2 if successful) )
- While I like the 'Scarlet Witchiness' of Enchantress as she is currently, I think the AI + DR combo is a little bit much for a character that's limited to 6 cards, 3 of which being OPD; I think enchantress needs a JW (3 + Power Card - neither can be defended by a special card).

Keep the feedback coming - its much appreciated!
