I was curious if you could use hero team but have a villain battlesite?  If you use DC Universe can you mix villains with good guys if you obey sum total rule.   Yes, I don't like the code system of DC OP.

The Hero/Villain code was always meant to be optional.

And since the DC battlesites will only be legal at Larry's playtest event on the Friday (not the main event on Saturday) I'm guessing it won't be a problem.  ;)

here's hoping so... now I gotta find some high # DC power cards!  Thanks, BBH!  Does anyone else wanna chime in?  Do YOU have a preference?

Larry said the hero code rule will be in effect.

Since there have never been DC battlesites there is no rul(ing) yet, so opinions please.

The OverPower Code Rule—The DC OverPower Code Rule is as follows:

Some Universe and Special cards have a Code on them indicating whether they must be played by a "Hero" or a "Villain". The Code appears as an "H" or "V" in the lower left corner of the card. This Code corresponds to an identical code on the Character cards. The DC OverPower Code Rule states that Character cards coded with an "H" may never play Specials or Universe cards coded with a "V", even if they meet all the requirements of the card. Likewise, Character cards coded with a "V" may never play Specials or Universe cards coded with an "H", even if they meet all the requirements of the card. If a Special or Universe card is not coded, then it may be played by Character cards coded either "H" or "V", provided that all other requirements to play that card have been met. If a Character card does not have an "H" or "V" Code, then that Character card may play Specials and Universe cards coded either the "H" or "V" code, provided that all other requirements to play that card have been met.

exactly my point:  battlesite has v codes and activators are guest appearances.  heroes aren't playing the card the player is.  that obeys the code.  also they can be on a team together just can't use the wrong code and since it is only on specials there is no conflict.  is there another rule somewhere that for bids it?

BigBadHarve

Well, since Larry is apparently going to enforce the Hero/Villain code rule, then I would have to say it applies to battlesites as well. Since character cards and their specials contain the codes it would apply.

So build your teams very carefully. A team of villains with a battlesite full of heroes isn't going to work.

you play thru your team, the attack must come through a character on your team.
