Palatinus' OverPower Forum

Good morning kind Sir's of Superhero Brawldom. Just dropping in to say hello after randomly stumbling upon the message boards, after a friend who hasnt played in years found a link for it. I was first introduced to OverPower back at its humble beginnings. Starting with a Lethal Allies theme deck, just because Carnage was one of my favorite characters, coming off of the Maximum Carnage comic crossover in comics shortly before. Back in the beginning the only people who i knew were playing, as a group, was just me and my neibor, his younger brother, and another friend. Though we had convinced one of the local Hockey and Trophy shop owners to bring in some boxes so we could buy packs. Starting with so little cards, it didnt really become a large collection till a long time afterwards. Working in a card shop now, and playing a lot of card games back in the day, has granted me the fortune of finding old cards by asking people i know who might of played back in the day, who had interest in card games. And even a random collection that walked in the door unsorted in a large box.

That being said, while ive attempted to not let my MtG spending spiral out of control, i do have a large quantity of OverPower now i would love to build on. I know that there is still a community for the game, albeit not here in my local area in Newfoundland.

So, while i lurk on the forums, and plan on participating and going over deck criticisms... i guess that i should leave you with a few parting words, since ive distracted you from whatever you are doing, or perhaps work. There at some point will possibly be some trades id like to get to, as while i still have a large amount of what was printed, some cards elude me. It's disappointing to see how some cards have climbed now, and i should of gotten them before. Cards like X-Man, the Multi 5... oh well, at least i have a DoW and what i want from Image out of the way from years ago.

Ok, so than i have "most" of what i want from Image.

Though, i've always put heroes and specials ahead of most everything else. There still may be some cards id care for in the set, but the main characters, like; Spawn, Witchblade, The Darkness, Fairchild i have out of the way. Still could use some Grunge and Violator though. Oh, and i wouldnt turn down any miscuts for OverPower either. Anyone have any nice one
