Had to start a second post because of the no double posting rule and post size limit.

Childhood favorite here. Along with Nova he got an awesome power boost and upgrade in importance to a galactic scale recently. The War Of Kings storyline was awesome for Chris Powell and Darkhawk. Needs 1 more special, just trying to find the art for it.

Darkhawk    Claw Cable   
Choose one Darkhawk Special from Draw Pile and place in hand. Cannot be a duplicate. Reshuffle Draw Pile.

Darkhawk     Darkforce Blast   
Acts as a level 7 Energy attack.

Darkhawk           Fraternity Of Raptors   
Acts as a level 9 Intellect attack. If successful, Darkhawk or Darkhawk's teammates may not defend Darkhawk with Special cards for remainder of game.

Acts as a level 4 Fighting attack. May make 1 additional attack.

Darkhawk     Reconfigure Armor   
For remainder of battle, Darkhawk's Energy and Strength actions are +2, Intellect actions are -2.


Domino gets 1 upgraded special.

Domino   Six Pack Attack   
Acts as a level 3 Intellect attack. If successful, Target Character may not make any follow up attacks from Teamwork or Special cards for remainder of battle.

Firestar's 6th Special.
Firestar   New Warrior   
Draw 3 cards. Discard duplicates.

Iron Fist's 6th Special.

Iron Fist   Fists Of Fury   
Target Character must discard 1 Placed card. If successful, Opponent must discard 1 card from Hand for each Hit on Iron Fist's Permanent Record.

Longshot gets 1 upgraded Special.

Longshot   Freedom Fighter   
For remainder of battle, for each attack opponent makes that is not made against Longshot, opponent is -3 to Venture Total.


Moon Knight was a fun character to design once i started on him.

Play during battle. Moon Knight may exchange this card for any 1 Special card in Dead Pile not playable by Moon Knight and play it immediately.

Acts as a level 8 Energy, Fighting, Strength or Intellect attack.

Morph   Thwart Plan      
Play in current battle. Next battle, Opponent may not Place any cards.

One Upgraded special for Mr Fantastic.
Mr. Fantastic   Elasticity      
Play with any Power card defense. Power card is returned to Mr Fantastic's Hand.

Mr. Fantastic   Team Leader      
Mr Fantastic's Team is +8 to Venture total this battle.

Multiple  Man   Take the Hit      
Play during battle. For remainder of game, any attack made with a Power Card against Multiple Man's team may be moved to Take The Hit. Multiple Man's team may not defend. Take The Hit is discarded after 1 Hit.

Namor gets 1 upgraded special also
Namor   The Avenging  Son   
Acts as a level 6 Fighting attack. If successful, opponent -4 to Venture total.

Namor   Winged Feet   
Namor or teammate may avoid 1 attack made with a Power Card.

New Warriors   Rage   
Opponent's team may not use cards with a Strength icon for reminder of battle.

Nick Fury   Secure Perimeter   
Opponent may not play any Activator Cards for remainder of battle.

2 New updated specials for Nightcrawler, though he probably didn't really need them.

Nightcrawler or teammate may avoid 1 attack of 9 or less.

Nightcrawler   Power Port   
Sort through Power Pack card by card. Put the first 3 cards with more than 1 icon in Hand. May keep duplicates. Reshuffle Power Pack.

Acts as a level 6 Intellect attack. If successful, opponent must discard one Tactic card. Card may be Placed or in play.


Ahhh! How fun. I've always loved Nova. The early 40ish issues of New Warriors tried to make Richard Rider into a cosmic level hero of importance but it never really stuck. Thank you Annihilation storylines! Nova rocks now. Had lots of fun designing these cards. His hero was an interesting choice. In old days he was a 6E 6S level guy. These days He's really more on par with the silver surfer. But I went with 7E 7S and some good specials.

Play during battle. For remainder of game, any Special played by Nova or Nova's teammates may not be Negated until "Xandarian Worldmind" is Negated.


Phoenix   Warn & Change   
Teammate may avoid 1 attack made with a Universe Card. Phoenix may draw 1 card from top of Draw Pile. Discard duplicates.

Polaris   Direct Energy Flow   
Play during battle. For remainder of game, any attack made with a Power Card against Polaris' team may be moved to Direct Energy Flow. Polaris' team may not defend. Direct Energy Flow is discarded after 1 Hit.

Two upgraded specials.
Professor X   Mental Bolt   
Acts as a level 6 Intellect attack. If not successful, draw top card from Draw Pile. If drawn card is an attack, Professor X may use it. If drawn card is not an attack, discard it to the Dead Pile.

Professor X   Psychic Scan   
Opponent must reveal hand and play open handed for remainder of battle.

Professor X   X-Men Founder
Choose one Activator card from Draw Pile and place in hand. Cannot be a duplicate. Reshuffle Draw Pile.

Psylocke   Astral Assault   
For remainder of battle, any Special played by Psylocke or Psylocke's teammates may not be Negated until "Astral Assault" is Negated.

Acts as a level 7 Any-Power card. May be used to attack or defend. May not be combined with Universe cards.

Teammate may avoid 1 attack of 9 or less.

Rogue   Power Wipe   
Acts as a level 6 Energy attack. If successful, Opponent must discard from Hand until both players have an equal number of cards in Hand. Opponent's choice.

This art rocks!

Target character must discard 1 Placed card of Rogue's choice.

Had trouble finding good art for this on.
Sabra   Loyal Soldier   
Acts as a level 9 Fighting Power card. May only be used to defend. May defend Sabra or teammate.

Scarlet Witch   Warp Probability Field      
Play in current battle. Next battle, Opponent may not Place any cards with a Strength icon.

This art was a little blurry but it fit the card perfectly.
Shadowcat   Phased Disruption      
Acts as a level 6 Fighting attack. May be used against Battlesite. If used against Battlesite, damage counts toward Venture total.

Shang-Chi: Master of Kung Fu   Swift Counteract      
Avoid 1 Attack. Opponent must discard 1 card from Hand. Opponents choice.

Shatterstar. Coming eventually. I've had the worst time designing specials for him. I've got six titles and some art. Just having a hard time figuring out what effects to put on the cards. Open to ideas......

Spider-Man get's some upgraded special cards plus different art that i really like for his Marvels card.

Play with any Power card defense. Power card is returned to Spider-Man's Hand.

Target Character may not attack or play Special cards for remainder of battle.

Spider-Man   Web Shield   
Spider-Man or teammate may avoid 1 attack made with a Universe card.

Look at top 8 cards of Draw Pile and choose any 1 card. Put chosen card in Hand. Put "With Great Power..." on top of Draw Pile. Reshuffle Draw Pile.

not a lot of feedback lately in custom cards.

other than Darkhawk (who i'm only vaguely familiar with) and Moon Knight (his specials seem a little weak as a whole, but i really can't suggest any thing different), i've already seen these from your previous post in photobucket.  the remakes are a definite improvement on the legacy originals.

i've seen 20 different Shatterstar specials, so i think my opinion would be too heavily weighted against those mechanics.  i will say that other than Gaveedra Seven, all special card titles for him would be new.   ;)  a lot depends on the artwork you've chosen.  looking forward to see what you come up with.

this will give some extra room to post here again.

I'd done some Spider-Man 2099 before but this i a full set of specials for him with new artwork. Back when marvel started the 2099 books Spider-Man 2099 was really good. I'm glad to see he's getting picked up and reused, though i haven't read the new books they supplied the awesome new artwork.

Spider-Man 2099   Air Foils   
Play on your turn to concede battle. Spider-Man 2099's Mission cards return to pile Ventured from. Opponent's Mission cards advance as normal.

Spider-Man 2099   Chronally Displaced   
Spider-Man 2099 is not affected by Event cards for remainder of game.

Spider-Man 2099   Retractable Claws   
Acts as a level 4 Fighting attack. Spider-Man 2099 may make 1 additional Strength and/or 1 additional Fighting Power card attack.

Acts as a level 3 Fighting attack. May combine with 1 MultiPower Power card for a single attack.

A full set of 6 specials for Tigra. Only 2 new I think. She was a little hard to create specials for because i was never an avengers reader. But wikipedia to the rescue! I think i'm going to have to go back and change her Character card. She seems to qualify handily for the  6Strength according to wiki.

Wolverine  gets some revised specials with his Marvel's card. If anyone was deserving of a version of the Morlocks AL special, it was Wolverine and Sabertooth.

Wonder Man. Not being an Avengers fan, I had a terrible time figuring out what to make for his specials. Then it all clicked and i finished them in about 20 minutes.

Acts as a level 4 Strength attack, may be played from Reserve. If successful, Wonder Man may continue to attack while in Reserve.

Wonder Man   Energy Form

Adirondack Base: nice.  no obvious Reserve, but potent possibilities.
Asgard:  as yet, i have never seen an attempt at putting Moonstar into the game.  did your old card have an IA: May not have a Battlesite?
Panoptichron:  love the IA!
Mean Streets:  Luke Cage & Daredevil both come to mind, but Punisher is just as good a choice.  for an IA, i would think something involving Fighting Power cards would be most appropriate.
X-Men Blue:  justa suggestion - what about IA: May use Jubilee Specials as Any Character cards?
X-Men Gold:  i got nothing on that one.

Asgard...  Yes it was a different Inherent. This one seemed more appropriate as Asgard has some pretty high grid levels on it. Especially since i'm planning on slipping a 8 Strength Thor into this set.

Panoptichron was originally choose your own set of events then i realized that was way too abuseable.

Daredevil was originally on Mean Streets instead of Darkhawk til I realized Darkhawk needed to appear on a location, maybe i should just swap the punisher for a Luke Cage so its all new characters......

Nice idea for the Blue Team. Might be powerful but i like the theme.

I also did a whole set of Hero Power cards for The Marvels set yesterday. Can't get photobucket to stop acting stupid though.

Wow! This set is almost done. As of right now i only need specials for Shatterstar.

Blink receives an Inherent.

The Blue team version will have"You may include Jubilee Activator cards in your deck whether Xavier Institute is used as a Battlesite or Homebase." The Gold team version will have You may include Professor X Activator cards in your deck whether Xavier Institute is used as a Battlesite or Homebase."

I'm thinking of copying the Danger Room ability.
During Discard phase, replace each unusable Power card with 1 card from Draw Pile. Discard Duplicate & Unusable cards.
OR
Avenger's Compound Team's Doubleshot cards are +1 and they may combine any Power Cards level 1-4 with any Doubleshot card. (This would of course not change the requirements of the Doubleshot card.) I'd also consider making it power cards level 1-5.

wouldn't using the same name for the blue & gold team's locations lead to confusion when making aspects?  they should be differentiated.  the EDIT2 IAs would work, though it seems that would force you to use a battlesite (can't use Any Character specials with Activators) to gain the benefit.

for avengers compound, 3 of the characters are max-6, and none of the 7's are complimentary.  maybe an IA allowing duplicate power cards of some type (e.g Fighting or Intellect) or value (e.g. level 5 or 6).  that would give them a little boost.

Good point, I hadn't thought about the Aspect aspect ;) of it.  My intention was to subvert the rule and make them usable with a Battlesite or Any Character Special deck. But the wording doesn't really help with that.  If you make the Jubilee Specials Any Character Specials you run into the opposite problem right? Any Character Specials can't be used with a battlesite.

How about worded this way...
"You may use Jubilee Activator cards to play her Specials from under here whether Xavier Institute is used as a Battlesite or Homebase."

Yeah, the Avengers West Coast isn't a real strong or synergistic group.
How about...
May keep duplicate level 6 Power cards of different types.

for the intent stated, how about:  "Team may use CHARACTER Specials either under any Battlesite (with Activators) or as OPD Any Character Specials."  the "character", of course, would be Jubilee or Professor X depending on the team.

if i've got it right (finally):  if its a Battlesite, its business as usual, just 7 character to choose from instead of the usual 6.  if its a Homebase, the Specials are treated like Aspect cards except that they must be invoked by an Activator card (thus insuring only 1 per hand), and they may be negated/avoided as Specials.  in this second case, they are not vulnerable to a DOW or Battlesite shut down.  a slightly different mechanic, but workable.
brings to mind 2 thoughts:
1) will we be seeing Aspect cards for these 3 locations & Panoptichron?
2) interesting new mechanic with broader possibilities...  what if ... when using a non-generic Homebase (generics being Marvel Universe, Team OverPower, and the like), you could add Activators from the additional characters that are not on the team to the deck and play them from under the Battlesite??  (almost deserves its own thread.)  for example, using Age of Apocalypse as a Homebase, your team is Blink, X-Man, Holocaust, and Shadowcat.  you can add Dark Beast & Morph Activators to the deck to play cards from the Homebase.  it might encourage the use of non-generic Homebases.  might be good for the game, who knows?....

Yes! That's what i was shooting for.

1.) Yes. Aspect cards to come. Just don't have really have any good ideas yet. I'll take suggestions.  Except for the Panoptichron, I'm kicking around some weird ideas for that one.

2.) That's a neat idea. Abuse potential, but done in the right way, could be neat.  Would almost take a new kind of card. Did you ever play Star Wars CCG from Decipher? As time went on they added Starting Interrupts, Starting Effects and Objectives which allowed you to begin the game with with certain cards for certain strategies.

no on both.  i have no suggestions on Aspects, though hopefully another reader will.  and i have never played Star Wars CCG - back in the day my brother tried to get me into Star Trek CCG, but i went with OverPower.

Yeah! Finally figured out what to do for Shatterstar. I'm not sure about Gaveedra Seven. Domino already has a BV special, might be to much doubling them up on a team. I'm pretty happy about Rebel DNA. Found another solution to representing teamwork/family. Darseid's Granny Goodness grants a doubling to all Fighting Bonuses. I thought, what if i limit it to 3 characters and make it OPD to keep around for the rest of the game. I am wondering if I should limit the types of bonuses, like Fighting and Energy, instead of all. Thoughts?

Acts as a level 8 Fighting attack +1 for each hit on Shatterstar's permanent record.

Shatterstar   Mojoverse Hero
Acts as a level 3 Intellect attack, +1 for each Mission card in Shatterstar's Defeated Missions Pile.

Shatterstar   Rebel DNA
Play during battle. For remainder of game; if Dazzler, Longshot or Shatterstar make a follow up attack to a Teamwork card played by the other character, the bonus is doubled.

Shatterstar   Slice And Dice
Acts as a level 4 Fighting attack. May make 1 additional Fighting attackagainst a different opponent.

Shatterstar   Superhuman Reflexes
Shatterstar may avoid any numerical attack.
