Let's all get deeply offended by posts about comic book card games. I'm really seething right now guys!!!

his post wasn't about comic book card games, it was about my wife.

Oscorps deck seems like a rip-off of Onslaught's version of this deck, just made worse.

I prefer Onslaught's build.

Oscorp

Well as I've said in the past I like to play for fun and try to be creative with my deck building.  There are only a few negate characters and I wanted something different.  I liked what Absorb Sound brought to the deck, as another Venture winning card.

I actually prefer Battlesites to Any Heroes (I know this will be mocked but I hate DoW)  But in this deck with the idea being to have as many venture winning tricks as possible I liked being able to add both Leetch and DoW, along with the free bailout offered by New Universe.

I will fully admit to not spending a lot of time going over every detail to make a deck perfect against every hypothetical situation.  I like to use characters I like in decks I enjoy using.  If it's successful then all the better and if it's not then I can just go on deck building.  The great thing is that there is no perfect deck in this game that no one else can compete against.

Thanks for the link, it was cool to see that other people have had the same type of idea (so I guess it can't be all bad!)

Feel free to post some of your own stuff up here as well!
I'm rubber and you're glue...

Onslaught

Are there a shortage of mission sets in Canada besides Fatal Attractions? I can send ya'll some extras of Annihilation Affair, Brave and the Bold, and Race Against Crime if you want.

Oscorp

no shortage that I know of....  but I'll look into it and let you know Onslaught!   :D

Sorry you didn't like it Dr.D.   :(

Anyways I should have posted that deck in another topic on the board...

Sorry to have drifted so far off topic Bread.  Bring on the brackets!

and thanks for taking the time to try and organize this!

A New Challenger Has Arrived!

I changed my mind. Instead of Sean(Harvey Dent), I want to play Ncant(winagame)lora in the first round. And i'm not just asking for the most inexperienced player of the tournament to face me in the first round,  for an easy win. I just think BBH might have a better chance to make it into round 2 where i can destroy him there. After that, Ill take breadmasterthe in the Finals. We can start the game in the powerpack, my 3 8-stats vs your 1 max 6 guy and see if they game really was over or not.

Let the games begin, boys. and girls hopefully....(I would love to play with Ncant's wife again, i've noticed the more experienced female player's seek bigger and better people to play with).

Assuming that this sort of verbal diarrhea is what constitutes acceptable social interaction for you, I'm only curious about one thing. How have you avoided natural selection?

Onslaught

Someone said something over the top on the internet. Help, I can't take it...I'm having a nervous breakdown....

shut down everything

Haha, there's no way he uses this language in person.  It's just internet smack, all in good fun imo!  Just play it out, that's the only test in the end; if you're man enough to show up and "duke it out."

Oscorp

Onslaught and Hotrod are both half right.  This is the internet and people can be free to act like morons with zero repercussions.  But this is a privately run chat board that has a moderator who allows us to use it, and therefore maybe people come here to discuss things without being mocked and insulted.

One of the first topics listed at the top of this site is about civility, and I find it strange that such a big deal was made about civility when someone is able to act like this.

So yes this is the internet and cowards are allowed and able to poke and prod and troll to get reaction from people, but in a private setting like this is supposed to be, maybe some people and maybe the man in charge of the board are expecting a little more maturity from people.

So I guess what I'm saying is that just because you can hide away behind your computer and piss people off for fun, it doesn't mean that you should.

Is Overpower your first time playing a game, or actually just interacting with another person at all? When someone scores on you in a game of basketball and jokingly shouts "whooo in your face" do you stop the game and lecture everyone about how that is disrespectful? It's all in good fun mate, please calm down.

No, but when they insult my wife and marriage, I usually take that personally.

Would it have been better if he had said he wanted to play your mom instead? You should get her to join the online tourney, I'm sure you've taught her well (as evidenced by her ability to beat you).

Short answer? Yes.

Having said that, his language clearly carried inuendo. As it was mentioned earlier, I doubt drdeath25 would be so bold in person, with anyone, but the internet allows people to act out their cowardice. Again, as previously mentioned, just because you are able to do something doesn't mean you should do it.

I'm looking forward to the tournament just for some varied opponents, but I do hope I don't play drdeath25 because I really don't want to interact with him anymore.  :-\

I'm sure bread would remove him from the tournament, if it bothers you that much. It's not like he has earned the right to be involved.

nah. He wouldn't be the first offensive person I've tolerated. Besides, it would really make my day if I got to beat him  ;)
