I'm interested in making a set of Marvels for myself to play with, but I'm not sure the best way to go about it.

I know JustABgKid has them all on his website, but the images are smaller that I would like them to be. Is there a source for all of these at good sizes and resolutions?

Once I have the images, what's the best way to go about making them? Print them out on nice paper and glue them to existing cards? Does any one have any paper/glue recommendations?

These are 1500x2100 pictures and include all 90 specials and 2 characters from the Marvels set.

How I use them is just put them in with another card inside a sleeve. You shouldn't print cards at exactly 2.5 in by 3.5 in, the proper dimensions are 66.75mm by 88.25mm, I have visual proof of this with a stack of playing cards and a digital caliper.

I actually print mine onto name badge labels

then I put the label directly onto a card (basic universe cards, mostly  ). The labels and their adhesive are both durable and thin, so the cards are still very shuffle-able, too. It's not perfect, since the labels are, in fact, smaller than the cards, but it's very simple, very fast, and very fast.

Never thought about doing it that way.  I've always printed my to card stock.  Inside the sleeves you can't see the back and the thickness/rigidness is the same as a regular card.  I suppose it wouldn't do me any good to print the back of OP cards on the labels stick that to  the back of what I have.

I finished updating my The Marvels set.  I posted Individual cards and I will post a rar file of the whole set shortly.  I am pretty happy with how they came out.  Let me know what you think.

You can get double-sided glossy cardstock at http://www.desktopsupplies.com. Print from MS Publisher or similar program that can grid the cards, and voila. MSPub has a default grid layout and prints front and back perfectly.

My current method of printing involves getting 5 inch by 7 inch photo paper (2L paper) and putting 4 of them to a sheet (each card is 2.5 inch by 3.5 inch which means no scrap pieces in the end). I then use a paper trimmer and do two quick cuts to make 4 cards. My printer is configured to print 2L photo paper without borders.

Using Letter/A4 paper can probably yield 8 to 9 cards depending on your printer margins by putting them 2x4 or 3x3. There's more scrap pieces this way.

Thanks for those recommendations, Jack. I've been eager to try and print out my own Marvels cards. They are such fun and awesome cards to use.

I'm also experimenting with using transparent film (think removable window decals) and blank playing cards. I'm using blank playing cards because they have the same size and texture of the majority of the OP cards in existence. They feel nice but they don't have the same look, the film isn't true transparency and is causing the cards to look darker. It's also very expensive to experiment with as the sheets are about $2 each and the gaff deck was $10.
