I like the posted border, however, my one and ONLY criticism is that it looks similar to some of the borders already made, as you've pointed out.

How about a metal or chrome border?  Whenever I think of a super-villain, I always think of a big, obnoxious super-computer.  What does a super computer look like?  Chrome.

The colour wouldn't contrast text colours or images too much, either.

I'm kinda with Kyoujin, that a chrome or metallic border would look good for a set based around "Absolute Evil." 

Also, I just noticed that the ED coded specials do not specify that you can only negate a special played by an opponent.  Can your Morbius' Undead Stamina really be used to negate your own cards, or was this errataed somewhere?

I think the special card borders should be close to a yellow colour.

Making a chrome or metallic border is no big deal. But that option has two issues that we should pay attention:

a) It's really hard to print that colour scheme. Usually we get something much more darker than what we see in the screen.

b) To get the metallic feel, we need a good contrast on dark and light. So the black text won't read well in the dark areas, while white text won't read well in the light areas. Onslaught border is a good example of light and dark mixed. It's hard to read the original text and Jack tried a white version, wich didn't read so good either.

Too bad!  Half of that looks fantastic, and you're correct about the conflicting colours.  Great job, though!

In defense of the traditional yellow border, what about just sticking with the layout from the custom Marvels sets?  I thought those were very practical and nice.

The basic border could be used but there would still need to be some sort of a logo or something diffrent with it to differentiate AE from Marvels.

I would think it should read as Demacus posted as 6 is a numerical value and not an icon. I think that's what he's trying to get across in his posts.

I'm not sure, but I think the Taskmaster card might need rewording.  Does the special just sit on the table until you decide to use it?  I was kinda confused by that one... And I was also wondering if there were plans to use that one PLUS BBH's Grand Scheme (Viking Pyre)?

@thetrooper27 - I would imagine the effect of "Infiltration" would be determined entirely upon which specials were revealed and, of those, what you chose to copy.

In the instance that no special cards are revealed, I would think it would just be discared to the Dead Pile.  Kind of like Spider-man's Spider Sense, but with a kick.

Definately increased the playability factor of the AJ specials, even if this particular version has a different code.  And it's a great card for Taskmaster.
