Frank & Sons minor find...

I went thru a vendors comic-based cards yesterday at F&S and found 45 Powersurge cards (forgot it was Raiders autograph day, there was a lot of "Raider fan" there lol). I could tell they were unsearched because the rare cards were still there. Wasnt a huge find but just seeing them got me excited...plus $1.00 for the pull didnt hurt. He also had a lot of those holographic cards that some of you guys make into custom Holo Heroes. If anybody is looking for them let me know what cards you are looking for & I'll see what he has. I dont know much about those cards so be specific & if you have a price in mind that I can offer him that would help. He said the cards ranged between $2 & $10. Off the top of my head he had gambit, cable, magneto, hawkman & wolverine. He had a lot more but I dont remember ( I was looking for OP cards & got blinded to all other cards when I found some!)

lol yea you really got to go into detail about explaining OverPower cards to get them to find the boxes they may have them in. I've (literally?) searched a ton of boxes over the years and come up empty. I almost gave away my negotiating edge when I got so excited to see that they were not from the base OverPower set.

What were your best finds and what did you end up giving for them?

I found a lot of deals for about 5 years after they stopped making them. I cleaned out a lot of SoCal comic shops lol. In recent years most of my finds (which are not a lot) are at Frank & Sons. I think I cleaned out all the vendors there years ago. About 2 years ago a baseball card vendor sold me 5 boxes of Mission Control, 1 box of Powersurge & 1 box of DC for $25. About 4 years ago I bought 3 Holo Batman boxes for $40 (pulled 1 Holo ). A few months ago I found around 30 Image cards in between some space jam cards. Grifter's 12-Int & Overtkill's One Man Army were in that pull. Paid nothing for them! (He threw them in when I bought Marvel Select Ultron for $18). All these finds were at F&S.
