if anyone has an inkling for getting more into the Marvel Universe. i may have to start on Jan 31st for Nightcrawler :)

Quote#1 It is fun. If you like diablo 2 type of games, you will enjoy this game. The creator of d1 and d2 David Brevik is also the president of Gazillion - he knows his shit. This game is an ARPG/MMO hybrid, and has some pretty cool features coming. I have never heard of Raids in an ARPG but they are scheduled to begin testing raids soon.

#2 The dev team. You hear a lot of times about a game 'oh the dev team is so good' But these guys at Gazillion, they have raised the bar to a whole new level.

--One hero (new class) added each month. This adds so much gameplay and is great for always giving you something to do. Granted, the new monthly hero is rarely balanced properly out the gate, but they have a top-notch balancing team and heroes are brought into line fairly quickly.
--Constantly adding new content
--Devs actually play the game. They see what isnt working first hand and are quick to fix it.
--Devs very active on the forums. Their balance guy posts like a forum addict, and many devs posts are made every day.
--Constant improvements based on community feedback. When I first played the game back in beta I thought it was 'meh'. I came back recently and it feels like a completely different game. They have reworked EVERY system in the game that I didn't like, and they did it through community feedback. I have never been so impressed with a dev team honestly.

Here is a character builder you can check out that lists all the different heroes, their skill trees and powers.

Check it out. You get one free hero to choose, and you should watch some youtube videos to make sure you pick one that fits your playstyle. If you pick a lackluster starter hero you will get a bad first impression of the game, but if you pick one that fits your style you're going to have a good time. This dude has a channel with a bunch of good gameplay videos, and the heroes he hasn't covered you can find via youtube search.

They have melee type heroes, aoe type, ranged types, pet classes, control type and hybrids. Pick the one that suits you to ensure you enjoy the game. By the time you hit level 60 on your free hero, you will have earned enough ingame credit to purchase a hero of your choice. Or you can simply pay $10 and buy one.

PvP in the game just launched and is beta. Completely unbalanced, but looks fun.

In a thread where people are saying which hero is the least fun, most people are saying Daredevil, Thing, and Hawkeye. For that reason I would avoid them as your free hero. Storm and Human Torch are very fun gameplay wise from the selection of free heroes, with both being many people's faourite out of all the 28 hero selection

Choosing the right free hero is very important in forming your first impression of the game.

Nightcrawler is scheduled to be added January 31. Moon Knight is scheduled for February and Dr. Strange is scheduled for March.

I played this game for a week when it was first released. It was cool for a free to play game for like a week. It just sucked cause i didnt want to buy a 50 dollar pack to unlock the characters i wanted to play with, and while they say all characters can potentially be unlocked for free, the drop rates of new characters were ridiculous. I stopped playing after i finiished it since there was no end-game content back then, there probably is now.

Its worth playing if you got nothing else better to do, just dont expect somthing as good as diablo-2, even if its made by the same guy.

Word for word, exactly what he said.

I played the closed beta of this game, and it was awesome, but there was no end game and it was easy to walk away from.

It was super fun, but i know for sure that in the beta the drop rates were way higher than they would be in the real game, so I'm not sure if the pay wall isn't right on top of you.

"Play for free or pay $5 and we'll epic you out"

If I remember correctly, the stuff in the real money store was a 1-hour XP boost, a 1 hour damage boost, and a 1 hour droprate boost.

Pretty tough to play without those.

well i have heard that by the time you get a guy max level you should have enough to buy another one.

but yeah, as it grows by new character releases, it will become a more rounded game and more content im sure.
