Hi all. ..been playing overpower since 1996 off and on.  I play a highly customized version with character specials and numbers that directly reflect their researched powers.  I never thought Galactus should have any balance vs Jubilee for example.  In my version, he destroys her with a single special.  I break the numbers barrier by simply giving certain characters like Dark Phoenix +7 energy attacks and things like that.

But anyway, here are some hero cards to get it going.  I have a 150 vs 150 heroes vs villains tournament of teams of 5 im playing with my brother to see who would win an end-all battle.  If you have any character card or special requests let me know and ive probably made them.

Any Guardians of the Galaxy or Uncanny X-Force Fans?

All cards were made (crudely) using the primitive microsoft paint.  Ill post more if you like.

Best work in MS Paint I have ever seen. Nice Homemades, thanks for sharing them.

Good stuff, jason_4. Care to divulge any further details of your customized rules, or do you play by the normal rules but use customized character cards only?

I also play with customized character cards and a revised rule set. I've had a lot of help from some great people in creating my character cards as I am almost useless when it comes to Photoshop (I supply the pics and grid data). In all, I have 568 characters (272 for Marvel, 272 for DC, 22 Indy) total and have had some epic battles. I have all of the data stored on a five tab excel spreadsheet for easy convenience.

some nice lookin stuff there?

I finished the x-force run recently.  is genocide supposed to be the 616 version of holocaust?

jason_4

Genocide is Holocaust's 616 counterpart.  I didnt know this until recently either.

About my rules:  Like i said it is very modified but im assuming it has some similarities.

Ill try to explain them briefly: You know how some cards have inherent abilities? my thought was that some specials should be inherent to a character, or in other words, they enter a fight with them already placed and working for them.  For example, i dont think Wolverine should have to draw a card to have an Adamantium skeleton, he already has it and thus starts the battle with +2 Defense already in play (also saves time).  So all characters start laid out, 3 in front line 2 in reserve with their specials that are inherent to the character face up and placed.

This is another big difference:  All specials are already in hand.  None have to be drawn and can be played on your turn.

Each player draws 10 and places all power cards/universe etc. under each character that they can, discarding cards they do not have power levels for.

After that its basically all out war to get through someones defenses and avoids and then work on their health (20 for most characters, sometimes 25 or 30, and very occasionally 40 if a character warrants having that much.  Eternity has 100 but cannot defend lol.

Hope that made some kind of sense.  Its actually quite simple.  I dont play venture total or missions or anything like that.  Just everyone laid out with their powers and let the best team (or luckiest that draws the best cards and the player that plays the smartest if its a fair fight) win.

Ill post some more in the coming days.  Here is a good example of a characters complete specials.  Again anything that is inherent is in play and the rest are in the players hand.  I threw in 3 other characters for you too.  Feel free to print em and glue em on old cards.

nice lookin stuff

I guess they thought 'holocaust' was a little un-PC 15+ years later...they were probably right

also, in my last post, that's an accidental question mark at the end.  it makes it look like I'm being sarcastic...apologies
