i wanted to try another team setup that specializes in protection and baiting opponents big nasty attacks, then counter with my own afterwards. the front line all has an avoid 1 attack, Jubilee and Ironman can have duplicates of that, Dr.Strange has an avoid 1 attack of 6 or less for teammate from reserve, Ironman has a LO special, Iceman can avoid any numerical attack for teammate, Jubilee can avoid any attack for teammate. i think i want some negates and avoids with my battlesite... maybe some offsuit fighting/strength/intellect special hits to round out my offense for spectrum ko's. Fighting Spirit Lives event turns any hand into a defensive wall they cannot get around at all. Serpent Crown to boost Ironman's Energy from 4 to 7.

im thinking of Morlock Tunnels/Onslaught Citadel/Muir Island/Mojoworld/Asteroid M/Avalon/Krakoa/Fall's Edge Compound for possible battlesites...

Wakanda seems to stick out for my deck... OE, AL, AD, AH, AG, AC... OE can turn into 3 attacks or defensive actions... and combo'ed with Dr.Strange later can be made into avoid any 3 attacks teamwide. a few good attack options to round out some more spectrum ko ability.

Sounds like a fun deck to play and frustrating to play against!  If you bring in an 8 with dr strange , you may want to swap surfer for spawn w his a AD to back your 8.... And then readers will back his 7 fighting and then it's another deck.  Play both against each other.  Sounds fun no matter how you slice it

yeah that sounds interesting as well... Silver Surfer and Spider Woman are both flexible for my deck. i really like what Jubilee and Iceman has to offer for defense/offense.

i wouldn't be able to swap all 3 without losing 1 of my core heros up front and only SW or Dr.Strange could fill my reserve spot.

i'm not adamant about backing up an 8 Energy, would be nice to just have 1 if possible.

Spawn would be an interesting swap for Silver Surfer... it would give me access to specials for another character if he should fall... should be able to keep him alive till he plays it. also access to Witchblade artifact... could boost Spider-Woman to attack with 8 Energy cards... she would get a +1 to attack so a 9 E is unblockable under ordinary means. also could give deck speed by searching for artifacts with Spawn.

* 6F 6A THE WITCHBLADE <IM> {VR} [OPD] Teammate may play any Power card currently usable by Front Line to attack.

Reavers could be interesting as well... good offense and defense... plus some pre-negation with lady deathstrike.

my biggest weakness could be the following events...unavoidable.. albeit very situational. it would be cool to mix up 1 character possibly to get diversity... i can still cover a few different things with my battlesite so....?

Spawn                                   8-7-3-3 (21)
The Reavers                          5-7-6-3 (21)
Captain America                    2-8-4-6 (20)
Daredevil                               2-7-4-6 (19)
Reyes                                    6-2-2-6 (16) Intellect Rating is 8 for defense
Donald Pierce                        4-2-6-7 (19) May Play Reavers Specials
Holocaust                              7-2-6-2 (17)
Scarlet Witch                         7-3-2-5 (17)
Silver Surfer                          7-3-6-5 (21)
Spider-Woman                      6-3-6-4 (19) Energy Power cards are +1 to attack

* File #061906.05 {C}
No cards with the word "Avoid" may be played this battle.

No cards that have the word "teammate" may be played this battle.

Sabra and wasp have "defend" cards instead of avoid to dodge the no avoid event.  MH specials are sweet.  Living costume will help with KO event but a negate will ruin that.  In other news, 3 grid strange and jubilee give room for some heavy weights.  Holocaust and witch have avoids w/o "teammate" on em.

thanks for reminding me

The GI special makes one character immune to event cards. Ive seen Larry use post from citadel site for his FF team it worked great... for him.  3 grid ironman has LO for teammates an an AG. He fits w/ iceman and jubilee leaving 19 for reserve.  Fitting an AO user with iceman is rough.  IF you drop him spawn reavers (witch or Holo) and original dr strange = 72 full count.

hmm i almost forgot about Ironman... his Marvels card is dope indeed.

i could run 3 stat of him or the original ironman so i could hold dupes of avoid 1 attack... choices

with the GI special, if they ran the KO event and i select my target who was protected, would it cancel out a death? or would i have to reselect someone else? if thats the case... it may not be worth having only to be negated. only a few decks will run those evens so i'm not too worried. and its only for 1 battle phase

i am slightly leaning toward Strange over Spiderwoman in reserve too hmm.

With a KO event , the player chooses so if a character is immune likely you won't choose that one but some one goes anyway.  Originalarmor iiron man does match energy theme but it leads to another deck: armor man (or IQ), Reyes (or shadowcat)  don pierce  and.....?

updated with changes.

this seems like the best counter to events from a battlesite... say the average deck has 2 or 3 events, it has a good chance to knock out their main event out...

this can block all 2 or 3 events but just for 1 character on your team. both are good, but this can be more flexible as its not a OPD from battlesite.
