do you think this is the most powerful team that was once legal?

having never played back then, I was told that it was changed rather quickly to 'shift must be defended' and then again to 'defended with power card'.  the biggest drawback seems to be the lack of a negate on the team, but the fact it should take about 10 landed hits (and possibly many more!) before a ko occurs is huge.

marauders/xbabies is the other biggie, but it has to play a card to get the shift, and risks duping while not getting the shift every round.

the only thing i hate is that if you move the attack to say the thing he cant use his AG special
it be no different then him getting the way of an attack against suzie (think puts his rock skin in front of her)
to me thats the real biggest drawback  :)

It was that way at one point, it's still broken. The reduction of FFP hasn't gone nearly far enough even as is, but at least it's not entirely broken and you don't see a glut of FFP decks anymore. Usually one, maybe two at a tournament.

Revert it back, and you'll see a massive increase in that number and that's something we don't want.

you think it's still too strong?  the lack of a negate seems to really hold it back.  I know larry switched to anys because he was getting wrecked with a site, so that only gives him one hand a game where he has access to it (unless he places it, which ain't that great a compromise)

what changes did you have in mind to depower it further?

On its own, without other considerations I think the current restrictions are fine. But from a balance perspective it still outshines the other Homebases too much. I think the two inherents should be linked - you can only shift if you're going to defend with a power card of 4 or less. That puts FF Plaza on par with the other homebases.
