i concede on the art.  i really liked AC (except maybe some of the Wraith parts), but i didn't remember that pic from it.  guess i'll have to re-read it in the near future.
on the grid we'll have to agree to disagree.  in my view, energy is prime due to their origin and their abilities for self-transport and to reprogram organic beings.  as you said, other skills are more based on what they absorb.  i capped the intellect fairly low because i think their "sneakiness" is just an instinctual program to multiply, conquer, and eventually call in the Technarchy to come in and clean up.  even the Select were blunted in their initiative by the constrictions of the desires of the Phalanx.
that being said, i'll repeat 3 things i've said earlier:  1) i do like your version, 2) everybody has their own different take on how character should function within OP, and 3) this is the fun and beauty of homemade cards.  i know that when i reread AC, i'll be looking at the Phalanx in a slightly different light.
thanks, fennshysa!

I can see your point but this way we get two different ones.  :)

Justa and anyone else.....   Where would you put Carol Danvers grid wise?

as:
Binary
Ms. Marvel/Warbird
Captain Marvel (more current version)

justa

i'd never really thought about it myself, since Carol's been done so many times by others.  but i can share what i've seen:

as Binary: 7384
as Captain Marvel: 6474 & 8465
as Ms Marvel: 5474, 6363, 6474, 7573, & 7674 (counts as 22)
as Warbird: 8534

some also had IAs regarding Special card usage.

fennshysa

Thank you. That helped me decide.

Here are the Specials for my Moondragon
Moondragon   Dragon Of The Moon
Acts as a level 9 Energy, Fighting, Strength, or Intellect attack. Moondragon may not attack for remainder of battle.

Moondragon   High Kick
Acts as a level 6 Strength attack.

Moondragon   Mental Domination
Moondragon and target hero may not attack for remainder of battle.

Moondragon   Mind And Body
Moondragon may combine Energy Power cards with Fighting Power cards for defense for remainder of game. May not be combined with Universe cards.

Moondragon   Psychic Bolt
Acts as a level 6 Energy attack. If successful, Opponent must discard from Hand until both players have an equal number of cards in Hand. Opponent's choice.

Moondragon   Shao-Lorn Acolyte
For remainder of game, if Moondragon's team discards cards during battle, Opponent must discard an equal number. Cards may be placed or in Hand.

Yes, Rom will eventually get a card. I had a hard tine deciding on stats but decided to go with the Dire Wraiths as an Energy character. I made the Inherent what it is to show how their shape assuming abilities can confuse the opponent.

Dire Wraiths      7   4   3   4   18
+2 to Venture Total when "True Form" is played. Opponent -2 to Venture Total when "Assumed Form" is played.

Dire Wraiths   Assumed Form
Dire Wraiths may switch entire permanent record with any front line teammate.

Dire Wraiths   Brain Drill
Acts as a level 6 Fighting attack. If successful, Dire Wraiths gain skill levels of target character for remainder of battle.

Dire Wraiths   Deathwings
Target Character must discard 1 Placed card. If successful, Opponent must discard 1 card from Hand for each Hit on Dire Wraith's Permanent Record.

Dire Wraiths   Hybrid
Acts as a level 7 Any-Power attack. If successful, Target Character loses Inherent Ability and is considered to have no Inherent Ability for remainder of Battle.

Dire Wraiths   True Form
Avoid 1 attack.

Dire Wraiths   Volx
Acts as a level 8 Energy or Intellect attack. Attack is not affected by Special cards already in play.

Another themed type character much more effective against an Energy team. The youngest of the Summers brothers is the most powerful and most crazy.

Vulcan      8   3   3   3   17
+1 to defense vs. Characters with Energy Power Grid of 7 or 8.

Vulcan   Emperor Vulcan
Play during battle. At end of battle, opponent may only move 1 Mission card. Other Mission cards return to pile Ventured from.

Vulcan   Energy Absorption
Cards with an Energy icon do not count toward Vulcan's Spectrum or Cumulative KO for remainder of game.

Vulcan   Energy Siphon
Opponent must immediately discard all cards with an Energy icon currently held in hand.

Vulcan   Family Feud
Vulcan is +2 to all attacks against target character and +2 to defense from attacks made by target character for remainder of battle.

Vulcan   Power Supression
Acts as a level 6 Intellect attack. If successful, Target Character may not play Special cards for remainder of battle.

Vulcan   Rechannel
Avoid 1 attack with an Energy icon. Vulcan may draw 1 card from the top of the Draw Pile. Discard duplicates.

I will have a 3rd version of Carol Danvers at 5-4-7-4 but i haven't figured out her inherent ability yet.

Carol Danvers   Binary   7   4   8   4   23

Carol Danvers   Captain Marvel   7   4   7   4   22

justa

a lot to digest all at once...

Moondragon - a slightly different take from what i had, but quite good.  i feel you did her intellect a small injustice, but she does struggle with her "inner-dragon" at times, so i can see it.  also, the art on Mind And Body and Psychic Bolt is a little too similar for my taste.  but very clean looking pics, i must say.

Dire Wraiths - another OP first for me.  great addition!  i add here that, when we talked Rom/Spaceknights before, i don't think i mentioned that Rom hasn't been a Marvel character for 31 years now (Hasbro owns him).  so he might not be appropriate for "Marvel Cosmic".  but i think he (and they) should make it into the game anyways, so why not?

Vulcan - Gabe's another OP first for me, though i think you made him slightly too powerful.  the grid is fine (or maybe a 4 strength), but the IA is overkill.  his specials convey that power.  and between the IA and Energy Absorption, Rechannel seems a bit of a waste.  teammate avoid would be more helpful, but he isn't really the sort of character to be defending others.  i wish i could think of a worthy suggestion for that one, but i'm coming up blank for now.

Carol Danvers - will you be doing just Carol Danvers specials (like chuu did)?  or will you have general and specific specials like you did for Hyperion?

love the work, fennshysa!

A couple of those Moondragon pictures were a bit same and bland but i decided to use them all since they came form the same source and gave it an overall together feel.  As for Rom and the Dire Wratihs, I like classic stuff. Plus the Dire Wraiths were the villains of the Annihilators.

As for Gabriel Summers you are right that he is a bit overkill. But he is the guy who took on the X-Men and Imperial Guard and kicked their butts. I figured he becomes a bit of a Meta character. He will wreck havoc on an Energy Deck but be not all that great against a Strength deck.

Wraith was pretty interesting character that got introduced during the Annihilation Conquest Storyline. Visually interesting with a neat background that fit into the story ok. When the infected Ronan was torturing Wraith it was pretty creepy. You realized Wraith couldn't really die easily and he kind of liked the torture. Though what they were thinking with the space cycle and funky gun/sword/whip thing I'm not sure.

Wraith      7   5   5   2   19
Wraith's numeric Specials are +1 for each KO'd teammate.

Wraith   Exolon Membrane
Remove 1 Hit from Wraith's Permanent Record or Hits from Current Battle.

Wraith   Exolon Swarm
Opponent must immediately discard all Special cards in play that affect the "remainder of the Battle" or the "remainder of the Game".

Wraith   Lonely Quest
Wraith may make 1 or 2 follow up attacks after Wraith plays a Universe: Teamwork card for remainder of game.

Wraith   Nameless Conditioning
Acts as a level 5 Intellect attack +1 for each hit on Wraith's permanent record.

Wraith   Polymorphic Weapon
Acts as a level 8 Energy, Strength, Fighting, or Intellect attack.

Wraith   Space Cycle
Acts as a level 4 Fighting attack. If successful, Wraith may not attack or be attacked for remainder of battle.

I'm not sure on Carol Danvers yet. Maybe like Hyperion, probably not.

i agree.

WOW!  i never thought i'd see Zak-Del in OP, where he was pretty much a one-and-done.  they spent so much time on his origin story just to fit him into AC, then it seems they gave up on him.  plus they killed off Praxagora, who had just started in Annihilation.  i guess not enough people thought they were "popular" enough to keep running.  and i though his weapon was cool.  (but the cycle?....)

fennshysa

Yeah. He would have made a nice subplot running around during the war of King storyline. Messing things up even more.

justa

oh man, i was thinking the same thing.   ;D

Well, here are specials for Carol Danvers. No particular theme, just a blend of effects. I decided to make only a generic set of specials, not themed to a particular version of her character. I did leave it at only two OPDs so maybe later she can get an OPD for each persona.

Additionally, I think that my Cosmic Marvel set is almost wrapped up. I will definitely be adding specials for Drax, Carol Danvers: Warbird (or Ms Marvel) and probably a character card and special set for The Annihilation Wave and Rom. Some more locations and Aspects will be added and eventually a couple Mission/Event sets (hopefully, I want to make them, just don't enjoy the process so much). The Badoon will not be appearing, just couldn't find enough art to even start.  I contemplated Mantis, Praxagoria, Ravenous and Stardust but I don't think they will make the cut either.

Thank you to OP3 for this update of the CQ special.
Carol Danvers   American Hero
All of Carol Danvers' Team's Special cards are doubled when determining Venture Total this battle.

Carol Danvers   Binary Powers
Discard any number of cards usable by Carol Danvers from hand. Replace with same number of cards from Draw Pile. May keep duplicates.

Carol Danvers   Cosmic Avenger
Acts as a level 5 Energy attack. May make 1 additional attack.

Carol Danvers   Cut Loose
Acts as a level 10 Energy attack.

Carol Danvers   Enhanced Physiology
Remove 1 Hit from Carol Danvers' Hits From the Current Battle.

Carol Danvers   Photonic Energy
Acts as a level 5 Energy attack. May not be defended with a Special card.

justa

this is very similar to how chuu set up his cards for Carol.  seems like all the art is from her Captain Marvel identity.

yeah, Praxagoria was short lived.  might've made a decent team-up with Super Skrull.

fennshysa

I shall have to look at his version. Current art is usually better and bigger so that's why it's all current costume.

justa

yeah - i noticed that a lot when i was working on my DC characters.  i am more familiar with the older characters, and a lot of times i couldn't find the art to do what i wanted that was of high enough resolution.

Kree Galaxy
Captain Mar-Vell    6-6-6-4 (22)
Genis-Vell             7-4-6-3 (20)
Kree                    6-5-4-7 (22)
Pyla-Vell               7-3-5-4 (19)
Ronan                   7-4-7-4 (22)
Wraith                  7-5-5-2 (19)

Over grid and complimentary grids. I need a mildly bad inherent at least.

Shi'ar Galaxy
Deathbird
Gladiator
Shi'ar
Starjammers
Vulcan

Need a 6th character. (Jean Grey: Dark Phoenix? Professor X? Neither quite feels right. Any votes for them or other suggestions?)

justa

name suggestions:  (for style points, not that it matters 1 way or the other)
Kree- "Empire" instead of "Galaxy"; or Hala.
Shi'ar- again "Empire" or "Imperium"; or the Aerie; or Chandilar.
"Galaxy" is too wide open for non-race members, and your lists seem very focused.  justa sayin'......

for Kree IA, best i can come up with would be the IA on Blue Area Of The Moon.  probably should drop it down to -1 VT since there are no 8 Energy characters listed.

for Shi'ar, my first thought is Lillandra, though i've never seen her done as a stand-alone in OP so you'd have to make her as well.  otherwise, i'm stumped on that one.

...sometimes i feel like the only kid in class willing to raise their hand and risk an answer...
