My collection....*sob*....can be yours

Hello everyone. 

I'm brand new here, just posted my intro a few minutes ago in the forum.  Please give that a glance to get to know me a little, I'll try to keep this business for now.  Although I will have some side questions.

Here is the gist.  I have my nearly full Overpower collection that I'm sadly looking to sell.  Short of accidental inserts or DC holo heroes, I have near everything.  I think there may be some set specific "dupe rares" I don't have.  For example, my original Wizard magazine issued "Wizard in top hat and tails" card...the one with Spider-man in a Wizard hat from the cover artwork.  I traded it to get another rare card back in the day, but I was OK with it then because I still had the Mission Control Cosmic Spidey and JLA versions.

Otherwise, name it.  Foil heroes from Marvel vs Wildstorm?  Got em.  Galactus 3 stat hero card?  Check.  Beyonder?  You bet.  Full sets from IQ and Image?  Done.  Hell, I even have a few issues of the newsletter and my personal Overpower Legion member card. 

I've researched slightly with watching ebay on and off for awhile now.  Honestly, I've tried to bring myself to sell the collection for years now.  But I've always put it off, partly logistical reasons and partly sentimental.  Even now, I'm telling myself in the back of my head that I could hold onto them.  But I'm trying to buy a house real soon and I could use less heavy boxes and more money in my pocket. 

I have multiple thick binders of cards, from my own original personal collection.  I also have the remnants of some friends collections, who gave me their cards long after we all stopped playing.  I'll be uploading pictures at first, and then trying to make a detailed set checklist.

Seriously, I have large card boxes full of extras.  I do not want to toss them away, nor did I want to take the long painful process of multiple ebay auctions, whittling it down little by little until I'm begging people to pay pennies for the leftovers.  I know I'm brand new here, which comes with distrust.  My ebay name is the same (plenau) and I used to trade cards in the OP community back in the day.  I also have some trade rep over at cheapassgamer.com under the handle "lord_kefka".  Gaming has been my continued vice.  Even if not interested, please consider passing along any advice on how I should sell this collection.

I'll be willing to buy the Legion newsletters if you want to split up the collection. Don't know what kind of price to put on it since I've never seen them on eBay.

EDIT: Because I can't follow myself up, I'll note here that the picture album is updated.  Some of the later shits are a bit fuzzy because my cell phone camera stopped displaying the view finder.  Grrrr. 

Anyway, detailed information coming, but you will be able to see the high points of the collection and the massive amounts of extras. 

If no one here is interested, could anyone advise the best ways to sell this collection, either complete or in sets?  Maybe I'll put some of these extras into "starter" care packages for newer people.

I think the starter care packages would be nice also if you end up splitting it up I'd be very  interested in the beyonder. and some others. If i were to split it up i'd split it up into sets first then lots for the remainders to help out starters.

You definitely have a ton of cards that I need, it just depends on how you want to sell them and how much you want for them.

I also see a number of cards that i would like to get. I'm mostly interested in just specific specials but that is dependent on how you sell the cards and for how much of course. Perhaps if you have lots of dupes of certain cards I'm looking for then you might be willing to sell those separately to avoid breaking any sets.

I had time to look through the pictures today and saw some stuff I'm looking for. I would also be interested like some of the other members if you were going to sell off singles. However if you only want to get rid of stuff in sets what are you asking for them?

I want those black slidetop boxes pretty badly for some projects I'm working on, if you break stuff up I'd love to acquire those.

Alternatively, if anyone buys the whole lot and doesn't want those black boxes then hit me up.

Ditto. There are some cards in there i want to purchase as singles, as well as a few things that arent cards. Do not need the whole lot though.

Is anyone interested in sets at all or just singles?  I'm trying to see how I can best sell this collection.  I'm working still on the comprehensive list.  Start making wishlists.  I'm talking to a reseller about the collection, but the first number was really low.

I think if you read the previous responses, most people in here are interested in singles. I think we're all just waiting to hear if you will make singles available.
