Wondering about prices and looking for some cards

I'm not sure what it was that posessed me to type in Overpower in a Google or eBay search perhaps 2 weeks ago.  I was surprised to find results that eventually linked me here.  Also quite surprised to find that there have been tournaments not far from my area.  The little voice inside is saying "Don't do it... you don't have time to get drawn back in".

Despite whether I end up playing again, I think I will try to finish up the collection.  However, I can't find my want list from way-back-when.

The ones I do remember... I think were prohibitively expensive at the time.  And I suspect they still are.  Any idea what (reasonable) prices are like for the following (and if anyone wants to trade, hit me with a want list... I haven't really looked through all the stuff)

Maybe the Classic inserts... not that big a deal, but perhaps any that haven't been reprinted.

I may buy those cards, would rather trade, but I know their value makes it difficult.  If anything, having an idea of value gives me an idea of how much stuff I need to sell to pick em up.

I haven't look through my trade stock in detail yet.  But I did see a pack of Megapower cards, Hillshire farms, and Team Overpower homebase.

BTW, is there an archive of scans of those old monthly ventures?  I have a few in a binder, but several are missing (never sent, or were never printed).  And of course the one with a hole cut into it to mail away for the Finite Power card.

If you're talking about the Toronto Tournaments, you're more than welcome to come! You don't have to participate if you don't want to, you're more than welcome to be an observer!

Holos are generally about $50-120, the range I've typically seen on eBay.
A-Next are about $30-40
DoW is $30-50
The last Avenger's ID I saw went for about $400. The last AP Teamwork went for about $600 or so. The others are (read: should be) $15-$50. No idea why someone's listing Xavier's Protocols for $300+.

Thanks for the response.  Seems like those cards are fairly pricey.  Are most cards expensive now due to everything being out of print, or is it just that those are extremely rare/or useful.

It's all demand and supply; since supply is static and demand is growing, prices go up.
I'm trying to keep the prices stable by allowing proxies for our tournaments so having the card is purely for collection purposes and won't hinder strategies.

The holos have actually gone down in prices in the past 2-3 years. They were probably close to $100-$250 a card in 2009 but have now halved in price. There seems to be more holo cards in the market because people are actually buying the Batman Holo booster boxes and finding them.

I've also noticed that boosters/boxes have gone way up in the past year or so. A box of Monumental went for about $80 about 3 years ago, they're now $150-$250 on eBay -- which is silly.

I notice the IQ boxes are pretty expensive as well...

I don't know if anyone else remembers the problem with some of the IQ boxes.  I had one that had zero rares in the whole box.  When I complained to Fleer about it, I think all they did was send me a box of Monumental starter decks (that's how long they took to try to help the issue).  It would be a shame for someone to pay a premium for one of those now and get hosed unintentionally.

IQ can be quite expensive too. I've picked up a huge lot of IQ packs from a distributor and noticed that packs seemed to dupe in chunks of 4. It's good when the cards in the duped packs are good, Super Skrull 8A, Spider-Woman AD, etc. Pretty much everything in those packs were the same except the super rare at the back of the pack.

Classic was the same way. When I went through my box there were tons of nearly duplicate packs.
