Lowest Cumulative Total Possible?

I was flipping through my cards today and I kept coming across ones like the Mauraders Riptide "Opponents team hits to K.O. number is decreased by 3 points for remainder of battle. This got me wondering, "whats the lowest point total you can get an opponent to?" And how many decreases last for remainder of game as opposed to just remainder of battle?

Any thoughts?

You can get it to 0 if you want:

Throw in Morph's Power Mimic and you got yourself a 0.

On a related note, if you like hurting yourself:

That's awesome! I didn't even consider the 'power mimic."

Nicely done Jack!

I may actually have to run that team just tro try it!

Most people certainly wouldn't see that one comming... until you played the second or third card.

Apocalypse's Techno Virus should have been like one of these instead of how they made it.

i'm one of the only fools around that uses that useless card!

don't make it another one of these useless cards!

mattkoz

Ha. I guess that's true. Better to just make a level 5 attack so you can score venture points.

Yeah - one of the guys that I'm going to be teaching to play this week, loves MTG. He typically plays a life deck that will either let him gain a ton of extra life or reduce his opponents life.....so I feel it may be justified to try this on him - a little shade of MTG for OverPower  :D

Ever thought about tagging someone with Techno-virus, then smaking them with Von Roehm?  That incoming 2 would be unblockable, and thus lethal.  So it's not useless, just highly unlikely to be used.  :D

Nice thought....I do run the HC a lot....but not Apoc too much - I may need to team them up for a test run. I will say, I love the verbage "...it's not useless, just highly unlikey to be used..." perfect for this card....Great response.

9 out of 10 opponents wouldn't waste the negate to be rid of the Techno-virus. The Von Roehm...  well, that's a different story. lol

Speaking of the MB specials, could it be negated defensively as the level 2 attack was in bound?  Technically, if the level 2 was already on it's way in, the negate would not be playable, due to the fact that the MB itself would have already hit, and to play it to remove the MB after the level 2 power card attack were declared would be illegal.   ...right?

I would need some verification, but I think if the 2 is on its way then you are saying that Von hit - correct? IMO if the 2 is on its way then it is your turn to attack (with the 2) therefore your opponent cannot offensively remove the Von since the 2 is your offensive strike - does that make sense?

i have that very team!

apocalypse (techno virus)
black king (von rohem)
overtkill (has a card identical to von rohem)
spider-woman in reserve

it's not a super effective team, but it has it's fair share of wins; including 2 kills via the techno virus! (out of about a dozen games, not so great...but it IS fun ;))

Since your not concerned with effectiveness, why not throw in AoA battlesite for Morph's power mimic and duplicate the techno virus? LOL!
