i haven't read a ton of books with him in it, but i still have a fondness for the character.  setting me straight is welcome

man's best friend: krypto may defend teammates with power cards for remainder of game (opd)

vicious ally: acts as a level 6 strength attack, if successful opponent -4 to venture

loyal partner: acts as a level 3 intellect attack, if successful krypto may draw 2 cards from top of draw pile. discard duplicates

the stat i struggled most with was fighting.  i mean, he's a dog.  dog's are pretty good fighters.  and he can fly. 

i don't know...maybe he just deserves a 5 or lower

From everything I've read you're stats are pretty good. I would maybe drop the Fighting to a 5 and the strength to a 7 becuase most of his focus is on superman like abilities: invulnerability, vision powers, super senses, flight, super strength, etc. I've read a lot of comparisons to Superman's abilities but never anything that says he is "stronger." I have read that his super hearing and super breath have been known to rival that of superman, so if you want to emphasize the breath I can potentially see the 8.
As for the Intellect, I would definitely leave it at a 1. Krypto has been listed in 2 main ways. 1 - Pre-CrisisKrypto is listed as a dog with "super canine" intelligence that they equate to that of a human. They never say a human like Lex Luthorm they merely say a human. 2 - Post Crisis Krypto has been written as a dog with normal canine intellect. I wouldn't see anything to justify going over the 1.

even if he was at 10% strength (and i'm pretty sure krypto is more than 25 pounds), that would still put him leagues above guys like thing and namor

IMO from what I've read that Wiki statement would be just about dead on. And yeah he is definitely stronger than guys like Namor - I just thought 7 b/c Sups is only a 7.

It's hard to say. Sometimes the Kryptonian animals are weaker than Superman and sometimes not. In my mind, it should all be relative. If you're twice as strong as a dog, then super-you should be twice as strong as a super-dog. If a monkey is stronger than you, then super-monkey is going to beat the crap out of super-you.

He's definitely stronger than all but the strongest characters, especially in the Marvel universe where the characters tend to not be as god-like as their DC counterparts.

As for the stats, I like 6-4-7-1. Energy probably should be a 7, but I like scaling it back so that he's not as powerful as Superman. You could argue for a 4 or a 5 fighting, but I like the 4. Strength is definitely a 7. For intellect, post-crisis I'd go with a 1. Pre-crisis, he should have at least a 3, and probably higher. He had all of Superman's powers, so you could argue that he had his super-intellect as well.

Also, this has inspired me. I now want a team of Krypto, Streaky, Comet and Beppo.

Indeed. All with capes of course. Otherwise they wouldn't be super.
