Will there be games on all 3 days (Fri, Sat, & Sun)?

I'm going to try to come in from Massachusetts, so I'd like to figure out times for flights or if I need to take a day off from work and drive.

Properly speaking, I believe the plan is to only have the games on the Saturday. We're also planning an afterwards gathering at my place up the street for some relaxation, grudge matches, and drinking.

But there's nothing saying that we can't meet up on Sunday with anyone interested in more games. Especially if out-of-towners are staying the extra day.

It's all grown up and been through a lot.  Just before the game celebrates its 20th anniversary and
Biggest year since 1998 National Championship, shout out to the Defending Champion 'Canadian' Duncan Yuen.

The Tournament will be held on October 18th 2014, at :

The Overpower Championship will be held on a Private Residence.  Due to this, you must confirm your attendance at least 5 days before the tournament.  This is for security purposes and a rule of the rental premise (no last second thoughts).  If anyone has any issues please contact me and we will work out.  My email address for your Tournament Confirmation is layloproductions@gmail.com or contact Jack at Jack@jackt.ca

The Format for the tournament is the 'Official Rankings Format' of 8 rounds of swiss, and then the final 8 is broken into two groups.  Top 4 and bottom 4, to playoff in a semi-final and final.  A time Limit of 40 minutes per round, at which time last hand will be called.  *LAST HAND :  When last hand is called.  If either player has NOT ventured, then that hand will be the LAST HAND.  If either player has ventured or the hand is further along, then one more hand will be played.  LAST HANDS will be observed by a judge to insure promptness.  The 'Finals', will have a time limit of 1 hour.  Standard deck building rules apply.  Please Check Overpower Wikipedia or Overpower.ca for all updated rules.  Also watch Former tournament matches on Youtube, find the channel through Overpower.ca.  All rule questions or reneges will be fielded through Sean, Jack or Myself as a Tie breaker (barring none of us are involved).  Snacks and food are allowed, please bring re-sealable beverage containers.  Absolutely, no Alcohol or Drugs are allowed on premise.  The Marvels set is LEGAL for the tournament, there are several versions printed, as well as any COLOUR PRINTED PROXY OF PROPER SIZE is allowed.  Also, as per our philosophy for Toronto Overpower, ALL CARDS ARE ALLOWED TO BE A FULL COLOUR PROXY OF PROPER SIZE.  This means, all cards are available to all players, may the best player win.  Any questions about Proxy's, please send an email.

Entry fee for THE OVERPOWER CHAMPIONSHIP 2014 is $25 CDN.  (May be made prior to the event with paypal, contact for info or at the event)

With this fee you will gain entry to The Overpower Championship, to compete for the Prize List and Ratings.  As a special GIFT for attending you will receive a Special 2014 Toronto Overpower Championship Promo Card EXCLUSIVE.  Also, a Hard to get 10 card MEGAPOWER promo set.

3 of the 4 tournaments this year were in the USA - State College, PA; Buffalo, NY, and Columbus, OH.

The group's goal is to cycle through - So State College will be the March Break tournament, Buffalo will be late spring, Ohio will be in the summer, and we'll host the Toronto event in the autumn.

Since Proxies are valid, can I use my Hot Comic Babe Power cards?

I want to say yes but that would allow someone to make all 36 types of power cards with the same image to confuse their opponent. Marvels is the only one we're allowing to have varying images since there's really no consensus set for people to use.

So I'm saying no unless Marcel wants to overrule it.

Then again.. Marcel did use the play testing power cards during the last tournament. Tough decision to make, his cards are technically illegal too.

Hmmmm tough indeed. 

I never wanted to cause a dilemma by using play test cards In The last tournament.  I have removed them for the Toronto tourney, even though proxies are allowed, I also don't want to cause any confusion.  So no chuu unfortunately not.  However, they are awesome.  And I am sure people coming to the tourney would love to get sets off you.
