i wouldn't throw out the idea of a red border so quick.  bios printed up one of his sets with red, and it looks fantastic!  my initial thought was grey, like the onslaught expansion, but that made the black text a tad hard to read

Where can we see/get copies of these?

I think if the border will be any darker color, maybe the text can be white?

The border is from his upcomming Spider-Man Foes set. I believe there are a few people who have seen a preview of these cards, myself being one of them. As it is not my work I do not feel it is my place to show these cards but I can tell you that the border is an orange/red colour.

Nice seeing a rundown of some of the potentially chosen specials in the original post.  I need to continue submitting more of my suggestions.

Have we got a list of confirmed Special Card names yet?

There have been a few surggestions inc' my list but there hasn't been an update or a confirmed list. I am going to be sorting through my X-Men comics over the next few weekends so I can also look out for images that fit the card names.

i've been updating the first post as we go along

the names are ones that either i picked or people suggested.  if there's a better name, shout it out, and i'll use it

the cards themselves: nothing is locked in, but i've tested most of these, and they are the cards i'm leaning towards using.  again, if someone has an alternate suggestion, post it in the other topic.  my focus is on completing the characters that don't have specials, but if you convince me a different idea is better, i'll go with it.

that's why i was hoping to get a bunch of images in here for jack to pick from.  some cards may be changed, but i like where most (if not all ) are at right now

I don't know how to post images, and this computer is so slow I can't even get the images to load off google, but check out the amazing spiderman 649 cover to get a glimpse of what hobgoblin looks like with his new gadgets.

I'll start looking for X-Men related images this weekend now I have sorted my comicbook collection.

i was looking over the list...man, that's alot of OPDs!

I really haven't had time to work on the images, it's just a huge learning curve to actually be artistic. Maybe someone else can step up.

are you backing out completely?

Of the border design, mostly. The rest of the project should be okay for me, but I'm just not artistically trained to do a good border. Keep in mind The Marvels was just a simple gradient.
