yep, there's still a handful with new mechanics that i need to clean up the wording on to (hopefully ;)) eliminate ambiguity

taskmaster/doc ock/absorbing man come to mind

trooper, wasn't it you who suggested that taskmaster card, or did i change it so much that you don't recognize it anymore.  i know i did something similar with your magneto suggestion (the name was too much for me to resist ;))

i see what dem/tgw is saying now.  weird, when i posted the psycho man card, which has similar wording, it got much more attention as seemed to be well-received, but some clearing up is always for the best

harv; i do have a list with all the suggestions, but it's handwritten in shorthand

how do these sound?

THE MORLOCKS-Numb to the Pain: Morlocks may not be attacked by cards with icons containing values 6 or less for remainder of battle.

PSYCHO-MAN-Microverse: Next battle, opponent must discard all cards with icons containing values greater than 5.  OPD

Yeah, I remember suggesting the Taskmaster card... I remember we had a lengthy discussion on it, but I forgot what conclusion we came to.. I'll see if I can dig it up.:)  What about the Viking Pyre card for Taskmaster... will that be included in the set, too?

The PsychoMan card could be BRUTAL.  And I LOVE the Magneto card.  LOVE it.

...

Found it!

Non OPD: Taskmaster - Your Every Move:  This special acts as a copy of any non-OPD card with a fighting icon.  Card may be placed or in play.

OPD: Reveal all special cards in opponents hand for remainder of battle, and acts as a copy of any special revealed.

I think the OPD was meant to show all the specials for remainder of battle, but you had to use the card at that time.

How about:

Reveal all special cards in opponent's hand.  This card acts as a copy of any revealed special.  Those specials remain face up for remainder of battle.  OPD

Never got a name, though.  How that? :D

it's close.  the version i tested was the ultimate version that is non-opd but lasts the battle, and the results were...underwhelming

it's greatest strength is forcing your opponent to place their best cards, leaving them open for an AI.  the card itself was almost useless during gameplay

I think I like the nonOPD better...

agreed, the copy any special seems to be the best version.  also, i should clarify; by 'underwhelming', i meant that it didn't break the game the way doomsayers had suggested it would.  it would seem any tasmaster deck would want to put 2 in.

if anyone can come up with a breakable deck of course, share it, as i can't test every permutation

thetrooper27

Test the one that copies any card with a fighting icon placed or in play!  That might be a neat card since you have a little more control over what it can turn into.

This is a much better wording.  It's much clearer and concise then the previous incarnation which I commented on.
